No, wait - you might be on to something. It's evident that she wants the presidency. Maybe she or those around her are smart enough to realize that she needs more of a resume and a higher national profile, to do that. Maybe they've calculated that as weak as the Republican field is, it's unlikely that any Republican could win the presidency in 2012. SO, Palin has the luxury of time to run for a Senate seat, in a higher-profile lower 48 state! So, Texas or Virginia or Florida... she could serve out a full term, and be fully prepared fro 2016...
