Sacramento mass shooting suspect paid thousands by county weeks before shooting

This: "The shooting unfolded just weeks after he was released from his 10-year sentence in February. He was released even after a parole board rejected his bid for early release last May, after prosecutors said the 2017 felony assault against his girlfriend along with convictions for possessing an assault weapon and thefts posed "a significant, unreasonable risk of safety to the community."

Sure sounds like California to me.

How did he get the guns to do the shooting? He had a Felony.
I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that he's a criminal, and criminals don't pay attention to the law.
If they aren't *safe* around weapons, they should not be on the street.
