You are wrong mac. It's so deeply embedded in the party dogma that they don't want to let it go.

This is not about Harris. This has been going on for years, decades. The resentment has been increasing all that time. Now it's exploded all over the Democratic Party.Again, the very thing you say has worked against the Democrats are what Republicans usedto win the election. America denies itsreal probem and you deny it too. Harris dodn't use PC or Identity poitics.
TRUMP BROUGHT UP RACE. TRUMP BOUGHT UP TRANSGENDER or other "PC" issues. IMMIGRATION WAS AN ISSUED BASED ON IDENTITY!
Everything Trump did was based on identity. Trump could call half the nation garbage, radical left lunatics, or the enemy of the people, but when Biden called Trump supporters trash, well then PC rhetoric was the problem. The ONLY group that slipped as far as minorites was Hispanic men. Women of color voted for Harris. 80 percentof black men voted for Trump, just like 80 percent of black men voted for him 4 years ago. It was WHITE men/women who voted for Trump. It was WHITES in the majority that voted for Trump. You are completely wrong Mac.
Repubicans created identity politics. They've run on it since Nixon in 1968. So they weren't getting revenge, they used race baiting to win an election.Absolutely agree. Republicans aren't doing away with identity politics. They're just getting revenge.
Wrong on which, that identity politics is deeply embedded, or that they won't let it go?You are wrong mac.
What's your point? Are you just making excuses for refusing to change?Repubicans created identity politics. They've run on it since Nixon in 1968. So they weren't getting revenge, they used race baiting to win an election.
Mac, I know whats been going on here. The resentment started by the singing of the Civil Rights Act. There has been a continuing white backlash since that time. The hysteria got even more pronounced after a black man won the presidency. That along with a shrinking white population has the right hitting the panic button. This is not about Harris. This has been going on for years, decades. The resentment has been increasing all that time. Now it's exploded all over the Democratic Party.
And yes, the GQP leveraged the shit out of it, because they know it's a winning issue. They owe you guys a giant Thank You card.
Both.Wrong on which, that identity politics is deeply embedded, or that they won't let it go?
Okay, keep running with it. Keep doing all those things I list in the OP.Mac, I know whats been going on here. The resentment started by the singing of the Civil Rights Act. That along with a shrinking white population has the right hitting the panic button.
Democrats didn't begin this dumb ass, get that registered into your accomodationist mind.
My point is that Republicans invented identity poLitics. They have used it since the Civil Rights Act and that includes this election. What's your point? Are you just making excuses for refusing to change?
Democrats won in 2018, 2020, 2022, dumb ass. So whatever you think the problem is must have been working.Okay, keep running with it. Keep doing all those things I list in the OP.
It's working out GREAT for ya!

Much to my surprise, I have seen a couple of lefties talking about this. James Carville has been pretty funny. "I told you so!"Here's another good article on the topic. Will the ostriches read it? Will they get it?

I guess it doesn't matter to me who invented it.My point is that Republicans invented identity poLitics. They have used it since the Civil Rights Act and that includes this election.
Yes. Democrats and Republicans always win. Weevils.Democrats won in 2018, 2020, 2022, and yet the identity politics of Democrats are the fucking problem.
But they don't really need to. That's the problem. The power-sharing arrangement of the two-party system ensures they'll be back in power. If we survive the kayfabe Trump administration, Dems will be voted back in, flaws and all. Wash. Rinse. Repeat.Much to my surprise, I have seen a couple of lefties talking about this. James Carville has been pretty funny. "I told you so!"
They need to change their approach.
As long as the GQP doesn't change the voting system and refuse to certify elections, that's my guess too.But they don't really need to. That's the problem. Yeah. I've pretty much given up hope. Watching the Ds and Rs join forces to crush ranked choice voting has convinced me we're trapped. It's going to have to get much worse before it gets better. As long as the GQP doesn't change the voting system and refuse to certify elections, that's my guess too.
I'm just not sure what is going to happen in that area.
James Carville is wrong.Much to my surprise, I have seen a couple of lefties talking about this. James Carville has been pretty funny. "I told you so!"
They need to change their approach.
Stay the course! Everything is going so well, why change?James Carville is wrong.
