Russia's Message To Berlin

Austria is ready to discuss abandoning neutrality and joining NATO due to the Russian threat. Well, that was to be expected. Austria's neutrality was already fictitious, but now they are ready to abandon even that. Oh well.
But Austria has slightly forgotten that the neutrality granted to it by the USSR and the USA is the only condition under which it was not accused of participating in nazi crimes.
After ninety years it’s a little late to use WWII as justification for invasion although Russia seems to ignore that fact.

80 years ago. Everyone involved with those decisions are long over the bridge of ages.

Europe is in a state of permanent shock that a huge, battle-hardened army will be at its borders. This army will demand accountability for everything: for the cancel culture, for helping the ukro nazis, for every shell and missile fired at Russian people. Hence this hysteria and pathetic attempts to mobilize the population.
But Europe's natural resources are depleted, the capital accumulated over centuries of looting colonies is rapidly melting away, technologies are already lagging behind asian ones, goods and products are not needed by anyone, and there is barely enough for their own needs.
All hope is on the United States, but they are not having the best of times either. And will the americans want to saddle themselves with half a billion idlers, with millions of migrants, empty subsoil and incredible arrogance?

In general, the "end of history" they wrote about has become closer than ever, but not in the way they understood it at all.

This is Europe

Ringo, Europe will destroy Russia's army if it is fucked with.

Ukraine destroyed Russia's vaunted armor blitz in less than 36 hours with all of a two day notice.

Nothing since then has changed anyone's opinion: Russia has good artillery and less than mediocre everything else.

Battle hardened? You mean defeated by Ukraine at every turn despite outnumbering and out equipping the much smaller nation.

Russia doesn't even have good artillery, just a lot of it. Russian artillery still operates like it did in WW I and WW II. Guns lined up hub to hub firing until the lands in the barrels are worn away.

I have no use for them. However, their counterfire battery observers are by the best in the world.

Wrong. U.S. counter-battery radar has rounds on target before the enemies guns can fire three rounds. US Army artillery has been the best in the world since 1940.

Three idiots singing each other lullabies. Where's the other one, equally moronic friend of yours with too much waste in the bucket? Gone MIA?

Counter battery radar locates the enemy guns before the first round they fire impacts, it then automatically directs the appropriate artillery or rocket unit to destroy the enemy guns. That’s why modern armies use self propelled guns that can rapidly displace after fire missions. Towed guns like most of the ones Russia is now using are sitting ducks unless bunkered in with very heavy overhead cover. Unlike you, I was a soldier.

Merry Christmas

I thought it would be a normal Sunday (completely normal)
And that Christmas would finally be peaceful (nothing happened)
Suddenly my mum says to me: ‘There's a gathering today’ (Huh, what?)
Merry Christmas, the relatives are coming at four
Ah, cool, I'd like to miss that (I have plans)
But the doorbell rings and they're already at the door (oh no)
Yeah, what can I say? Yeah, what should I do? (What should I do?)
No matter what happens, I'll just say it's not my fault

And everyone's sitting there, still pretty relaxed
But then there's this person who suddenly says something

And it escalates, no one knows why (knows why)
Everyone's arguing, I'm eating biscuits and watching (I'm watching)
And when my uncle, drunk on mulled wine, demolishes our Christmas tree
Then Christmas is the same as always, as usual (as usual)
It escalates, the relatives freak out (freak out)
And Grandpa stands out politically again (again)
And when my aunt says that Santa Claus doesn't exist
Then Christmas is the same as always, as usual (as usual)
It was nice to see you, Merry Christmas, ho-ho-ho

I thought it would be a wonderful evening (completely normal)
And that this year the mood wouldn't change
But just like every year, the relatives ask
Whether there will be a Christmas gathering again (oh no)
Yes, today my brother and my pregnant sister are coming, both uncles
Mum's father, grandma and what was already clear (Melchior, Balthasar and Caspar)
Fourteen friends and the neighbour and the aunt from Nebraska
Who was already there last year (but nobody really knows her)

And everyone is sitting there, still quite relaxed
