Just a little story out of the Ukraine. Ever look at links or the news?
This is a laugh-riot...
A dyed-in-the-wool Uber-LibTard, using an article from Fox News, to throw rocks at Conservatives...
"Jesus take me now, I've seen it all."
Bwaaaaaaaahahahahahaha!!!
------------
Any person of goodwill is going to feel sadness over the death of the 200+ people on that Malaysia Airlines jetliner, that was shot-down by a surface-to-air missle, over the Ukraine.
It's even entirely possible that it was done by Russian air-defense forces, positioned on the Ukraine-Russian border, given that the Russians have (reportedly) shot down several Ukrainian Air Force aircraft, in support of the Russian-leaning Separatist-Rebels.
Then again, Russian military units are heavily weighted with under-trained, under-motivated conscripts, and that probably goes for their air-defense units, as well.
Who knows?
This is 'breaking news' and involves a power (the Russian Federation) that will be reluctant to admit involvement.
As a matter of pure personal opinion, I don't think that ex-KGB slickster Uncle Vlad would knowingly order his forces to shoot down a civilian airliner.
Way too much negative backlash in the worldwide court of public opinion, and Uncle Vlad is too cynically and pragmatically slick and savvy to shoot himself in the foot like that, without one helluva good reason, and I don't think there is anything extant within the realm of the present Ukraine crisis that would convince him to open fire on such an aircraft, and take that kind of heat.
My money is on (1) the Russians probably being responsible, (2) it being a case of mistaken identity, and (3) it was done without any authorization higher than the local theater-area military commander or one of his mid-level deputies in the Air Defense arm.
If true, then, even still, Vlad is responsible - ol' Harry Truman's "The buck stops here" principle applies pretty much universally - but I doubt that it was a conscious decision on the part of Kremlin -level authorities.
Personally, I think ol' Vlad has done more to --- (1) revitalize his country, (2) weaken the new-found freedoms that Russians discovered after the dust settled, post-Soviet-collapse, and (3) consolidate his personal power --- than most Americans feel comfortable with.
And, yes, there are aspects of his leadership style and projection of strength, and pragmatism, and geopolitical chess-playing skills, that merit a grudging and cautious admiration, although he's by no means infallible or unbeatable.
That doesn't mean that folks here in America admire him overall or in-the-main, merely that many see him as a better leader for his country than we presently enjoy here in our own, and a lot of Americans find that simultaneously amusing and troubling.
I (and, I'm sure, a large number of others) enjoy seeing comparisons of leadership strength, comparing Putin and Obama, to the discomfit of the few remaining Orgasmic ObamaBots, but, then again, there are times when I'm inclined to believe that Shirley Temple could have gone toe-to-toe with Obumble, in comparing adeptness at handling foreign relations, and come across looking strong by comparison.
It's unfair, and, I'm sure, largely untrue, in the final analysis, but it's great fun to raise the blood pressure of ObamaBots, by pointing out the perceived (
and, sometimes, all-too-real) weakness of Fearless Leader, on the US domestic and on the international scenes.
