Routine care being cancelled

Is anyone else encountering this? My yearly eval was just cancelled by my provider. The message began with "due to a high volume of respiratory problems". ..... Hopefully it won't last long. No phone call nothing. Just a text. Can't make a new appt. Either as of now.

On advice of her surgeon my SIL canceled her knee replacement surgery scheduled for this week due to the covid because she would have been in hospital for a few days afterwards.

My wife also was scheduled for a preventative medical procedure. Has been postponed. We're locked in again. Used to it by now. We're in the higher risk category so we are for Ed to not go out again. Crazy world.

The hospitals are overwhelmed again. They are short on staff and high on patients.

Hospitals aren't stopping procedures or full but the schools are missing half the students now. Headache, fever, last two days and then its over, back to school.

Just out of curiousity. Have you been to this hospital and seen their ICU ward? Or are you just taking their word for it?
