Assad is a secular Western-educated man. The US/West decision to 'Regime Change' him, was a monumental disastrous blunder. Not to mention, 'Regime Change', is wrong and illegal. US/Western leaders should stand trial for crimes against humanity. But of course that won't happen. We all know the US/West owns the International Court System.

They've funded and armed brutal Jihadists like ISIS, in Syria. So many poor innocents have been horrifically slaughtered. And for what? Answer is, so the US/West could put another Puppet in power and plunder another nation's resources. They have no shame. It's time for us to exit Syria, and allow Assad, Russia, and Iran to clean the awful mess up. We've done enough damage.

You want Assad to go. Okay. How bady? How far do you want to take it to make sure he goes? Russia will fight for him because they have a navy base on Syria and will not let that base fall into terrorist hands. They will go to war over keeping their base. The Russians have indicated that they have no problem escalating to nuclear war if necessary rather than give up that base.

Are you ready to make the same decision? Will YOU go to war, nuclear war, to make Assad go?

Your first sentence is so idiotic that I did not bother to read further. Assad is a BAATHIST------he went to medical school in Damascus (that's Syria-----I know lots of people educated in medical schools in muslim countries.) From where did you get "western education"? Residency in
Opthalmology in London? ya gotta be kiddin' Those years did NOT imbue him with "western culture" He is a syran, alawite muslim just as my friends educated in Karachi are sunni muslim doctors from Pakistan---ie PAKISTANIS.
As a medical resident in London-------he was one of several
in whatever hospital he trained------one of several muslims----still muslims. He did not MAGICALLY BECOME AN EAST ENDER. ------as to the rest---later.....

Assad is not a radical Islamist. He's a secular leader. We should have left him alone. Our Government really has flucked the Middle East up. It's more destabilized than it's been in many years.

The American People need to start demanding a humble Foreign Policy. No more Empire-building. That's not what our Founding Fathers wanted. We need to disengage from the Middle East.
