Ron Paul: “Good News” That Secession Is Happening

“Whenever any form of government becomes destructive of the ends for which it was established, it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it, and to institute new government ... Whenever any form of government becomes destructive of the ends for which it was established, it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it, and to institute new government.”- The US Constitution
No government in the United States has become 'destructive,' Federal, state, or local.

Consequently, any effort to alter, abolish, or institute 'new government' is unwarranted.

That some libertarians and others on the rightwing fringe perceive any government as 'destructive' is subjective, wrong, and completely unfounded.

Articles III and VI of the Constitution, in addition to the Grievances Clause of the First Amendment, codify the right of the American people to challenge government overreach in the courts, and should the courts determine the government has acted outside of its Constitutional authority, invalidate acts of government repugnant to the Constitution.

And when the courts determine that an act of government is necessary, proper, and Constitutional, the people are bound by that ruling, as well as the states in which the people reside, where the people and the states are subject to the rule of law as determined by the Federal courts.

Separation of Powers doctrine has worked successfully for well over 200 years, safeguarding the rights of the American people, and recognizing the appropriate, Constitutional application of government authority, preventing government from becoming 'destructive.'

When the courts (the government) determine that government has overstepped its bounds, that's the only time we are entitled to a redress of grievances? You're joking, right?

You have to be terminally gullible to think the government is ever going to overrule its powers. You're the worst kind of toady, Clayton. You're servile to the bone.

The separation of powers doctrine hasn't worked worth a damn. The obvious reason for this failure is the fact that all the powers are on the same side. They are all part of the government, and they all have a vested interest in increasing the power and scope of government.

The government started becoming destructive the day it was born. It's destructiveness has sharply accelerated since WW I. Societal collapse is only a few decades away.

My comment on Mental Health is evidenced by bripat every single day.

Delusional and contagious. Change it back to what? The 1950s?

Imagine an irony SO SWEET, that a Leftist is lamenting Ideological contagions ... It's like Ebola lamenting Streptococcus. And who couldn't LOVE the implication that because it's history... it's WRONG.

LOL! Adorable... .

Imagine going back to the 1950s... when Back families had two parents... 2.7 children, making above average grades and a 90% high school graduation rate. Where Abortions were few and far in between and where homosexuals were quiet, reserved people who kept their private lives PRIVATE. College Educations were affordable to those who did not choose trade schools and where a high school graduate was what is equivalent to a modern Master's Degree.

You are mentally challenged and the only difference between you and the punks seated in a cage is they didn't hide behind a keyboard. In fact your attitude toward government is spot on that of the dirt bags our society locks up; you and they have a giant chip on their shoulder, mouth off and when the consequences of their attitude cause them trouble they whine and cry police brutality.

Apparently, that's your conception of a winning argument. It's actually proof that you've lost the debate. You've reduced yourself to pure ad hominems.

BTW, the only difference between you and an SS officer running a death camp is that America doesn't have any death camps. You have all the same attitudes towards authority, however. Most of the things you described happened under segregation. Why you think they would happen again if we repealed welfare and some government regulation escapes any conception of logic.

I'm not painting you as unstable, your posts and belief system isn't that of a normal, healthy citizen. Thus the picture of you is a self portrait. You are a lunatic, your perception of reality is distorted by factors not in evidence to normal human beings; even your avatar is bizarre, and reflects an unhealthy, perverted world view.

Boot-licking government minions like you define "normal, healthy citizen" as a gullible, brainwashed obedient serf. Yes, I'm not "normal" in that regard. I haven't fallen for all the lies used to justify our enslavement.

The facts I base my opinion on are clearly in evidence, but most people are too brainwashed to accept them. One undeniable fact is that we are far poorer as a result of democracy than we would be without it. Our democratic government loots almost 50% of our income. This country would be fabulously wealthy if it wasn't for following the doctrines of members of the professional parasite class like you.

We live in a Republic, and we elect our representatives by direct democracy. Thus we live in a democratic republic. Sadly, we are fast becoming a Plutocracy, most members of Congress are Millionaires and most members of Congress are beholden to the donors who support them financially.

We agree, you are not normal. Alas, you are not an iconoclast, nor will you ever be mistaken for Henry David Thoreau; in truth you're a whiner, selfish, callous and intolerant of all who don't think as you do (and that encompasses most of the human beings on this planet).

I too believe the government spends too much, primarily because the Congress does the bidding for special interests, and the Congress refuses to evaluate the cost-benefits of programs - a result of special interests pressures.

There is a huge misunderstanding on spending. Fiscal conservative does not mean fiscally responsible - in most cases the fiscal conservative ignores the advice simply stated in this phrase, "a stitch in time, saves nine".

You wouldn't know an authoritarian state from your own asshole. Why do you people say such incredibly stupid things all the time?
Looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, smells like a duck, shits like a duck... I'm sorry what about this country is not an Authoritarian state?

The authoritarian part. If this were an authoritarian state you wouldn't be expressing your opinions here. You would be in a concentration camp.

Nonsense.

You live in a society where you can say what you please, go where you please and follow whatever dream you please. It is not authoritarian just because you don't get your way. What is nonsense is that you think it is.

Nonsense. I live in a society where my government invades my personal documents without a warrant, a society where my government can kill me for saying what I please. I live in a country that punishes me for following my dreams. It is authoritarian because it forces me to do all sorts of things that it should not.

When were you personal documents invaded? When was the last time you were killed for saying what you pleased? What dreams were you pursuing you were punished for? What things are you being forced to do you should not?

Yes it is Ron, yes it is... Need to look up my old fire team members.....

========================================

Former Republican presidential candidate and congressman Ron Paul says secession is happening and it’s “good news.” Paul later predicted the states would stop listening to federal laws.

“I would like to start off by talking about the subject and the subject is secession and, uh, nullification, the breaking up of government, and the good news is it’s gonna happen. It’s happening,” Paul, the father of potential Republican presidential candidate Rand Paul, told a gathering at the libertarian Mises Institute in late January. The event Paul was speaking at was titled “Breaking Away: The Case for Secession.”

Paul said secession would not be legislated by Congress, but would be de facto, predicting “when conditions break down…there’s gonna be an alternative.”

Ron Paul Good News That Secession Is Happening - BuzzFeed News

"TREASON shall consists only in levying war against the UNITED STATES, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort."

Our Constitution allows for a peaceful transition of power every even year. Anyone who takes up arms against the United States or advocates an armed insurrection is at least culpable of treason.

Think about it.

I have thought about it and support Ron Paul. Our forefathers empowered us and expect you to rise against unlawful government. It is you're civil right

-Geaux

Absolutely. But that doesn't mean you're not dead wrong.
