No government in the United States has become 'destructive,' Federal, state, or local.“Whenever any form of government becomes destructive of the ends for which it was established, it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it, and to institute new government ... Whenever any form of government becomes destructive of the ends for which it was established, it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it, and to institute new government.”- The US Constitution
Consequently, any effort to alter, abolish, or institute 'new government' is unwarranted.
That some libertarians and others on the rightwing fringe perceive any government as 'destructive' is subjective, wrong, and completely unfounded.
Articles III and VI of the Constitution, in addition to the Grievances Clause of the First Amendment, codify the right of the American people to challenge government overreach in the courts, and should the courts determine the government has acted outside of its Constitutional authority, invalidate acts of government repugnant to the Constitution.
And when the courts determine that an act of government is necessary, proper, and Constitutional, the people are bound by that ruling, as well as the states in which the people reside, where the people and the states are subject to the rule of law as determined by the Federal courts.
Separation of Powers doctrine has worked successfully for well over 200 years, safeguarding the rights of the American people, and recognizing the appropriate, Constitutional application of government authority, preventing government from becoming 'destructive.'
When the courts (the government) determine that government has overstepped its bounds, that's the only time we are entitled to a redress of grievances? You're joking, right?
You have to be terminally gullible to think the government is ever going to overrule its powers. You're the worst kind of toady, Clayton. You're servile to the bone.
The separation of powers doctrine hasn't worked worth a damn. The obvious reason for this failure is the fact that all the powers are on the same side. They are all part of the government, and they all have a vested interest in increasing the power and scope of government.
The government started becoming destructive the day it was born. It's destructiveness has sharply accelerated since WW I. Societal collapse is only a few decades away.
