Ron DeSantis picks Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody to fill Marco Rubio's Senate seat. (Poll)

Besides senators Romney, Collins and Murkowski, are there others to sink Trump's nominees?

Marco Rubio's senate seat will be filled by Ashley Moody, Florida's AG, until the 2026 election.

Ron DeSantis picks Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody to fill Marco Rubio's Senate seat

She will have to run in a 2026 special election to keep the seat for the final two years of Rubio's term. Mills has already said he is running for the Senate in 2026, as first reported by Politico, and Cammack is considering a run, meaning Moody is likely going to face Republican primary challengers.

She looks like a very good pick to me.

Ohio Lt. Gov. Jon Husted emerges as leading contender for JD Vance’s Senate seat

The two Republican sources stressed, however, that it’s not clear whether Husted would accept the appointment, as he has eyed the Ohio governor’s mansion for years. In the 2018 election cycle, Husted ran for governor against DeWine before dropping out to become DeWine’s running mate.

JD's senate seat will also be filled by a Republican, keeping the 3-seat majority.

So Trump's nominees will need to keep all but 3 senators. Murkowski, Romney, and Collins stand out as Never-Trumpers, any others that might oppose Trump's nominees?

IMHO only Mitch McConnell could possibly join that Never-Trump group to sink Trump's nominees.
