Ron DeSantis Loses Court Battle In CDC Covid Safety Demands

Correct.

And for those ‘freedom of choice’ idiots, individuals can exercise their freedom of choice to not go on a cruise.

1 out of every 5 cases in the country belong to Deathsantis. That's failure on a scale dwarfed only by Trump. This guy is a loser by any measure.

And now we know why 70% of the illegals are being sent to florida................and being flown around by our military. Biden and his crew of communists need to be up on crimes against humanity, murder, and treason.

I wondered about that.

If you find any data on that, please share.

I, for one, wouldn't put it past his administration to be that strategic in where specifically they're delegating the military with the task of flying these people and dropping them off, particularly given the administration's history with strategically manipulating...oh...let's call it data.

Thanks!

Yet another DeSantis failure.

DeSantis is as much a failure as Trump, and just as incompetent.

As a consequence of DeSantis’ reckless, irresponsible response to the pandemic, the virus is once again out of control.
HaHaHa, is DeSantis responsible for the spikes in CA too? What is your explanation for that--I know, Trump made Newsom open up. No? Please explain, masks in LA and SF because of massive Delta spikes.

I wonder how many of the illegal assholes are being sent to Delaware. Likely Zero.

Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) appears to have lost his ongoing efforts to break through any and all COVID-19 precautions. "By a 2-1 vote, the three-judge panel on the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals noted that the federal government had demonstrated 'requisite showing' to obtain the stay order allowing the CDC regulations to remain in place, but did not elaborate further," the report explained.

According to the data, Florida has experienced a 70 percent increase in hospitalizations over the past 14 days. They've also had a 190 percent increase in cases in the past two weeks. One in five new COVID-19 cases in the United States are coming from a single state: Florida.

Hey Ron. You really suck at this governing thing. Definitely a Trump protege.
95% to 99% SURVIVAL rate. Meh

Really? The cruise lines can require it now? I didn't get all that legal talk in the judge's decision.

Actually, this ought to make everyone happy. DeSantis got plenty of publicity for acting like a troglodyte, and he can say Well, I really tried! Meanwhile, the cruiselines are happy they can ensure their passengers' safety without having to embark from other ports. That should save some jobs for DeSantis, too.

DeSantis would be stupid to pursue this any further on the taxpayer's dime.

How is trying to stop the government (CDC) from applying it's own guidelines to private businesses 'acting like a troglodyte?' The government should have no role in mandating what one wears or injects into their own bodies. DeSantis lost but can appeal.

Covid has a 95% to 99% survival rate so, CDC mandates are just for power and control at this point. In fact, the whole COVID pandemic response was nothing but a Democrat dog and pony show to somehow wound their grave enemy "Orange Man Bad" who really doesn't exist in the first place.

No, vaccination keeps you out of the hospital, prevents death. That's what the vaccine is for.

Also, DeSantis himself tried wiggling out of the problem with the cruise line industry, when he learned some lines would take their ships elsewhere. The suggestion he made didn't fly with the courts though. He wanted to make a ship in port be deemed in "international territorial waters," which was just too much for the government to swallow. So why would he push it any further? He wanted to give them an eexemption from his retarded law.

Yeah, this one had losing battle all the way. He doesn't get to tell a cruise line what to do, and he doesn't get to tell the CDC what to do.

When it comes to COVID responses, they don't get much worse than the Lil Trumpy Boy Culture Warrior there in Florida.

Next bitch slap from the courts will be his stupid lawsuits banning private social media companies from determining content and whether or not they ban users.

Yeah, I'm no lawyer, but that one smelled bad even to me.

The Norwegian line cruise line is complaining that DeSantis is making them 'unsafe' because he promotes NOT requiring vaccinations before boarding. Apparently that cruise line is not too concerned about discriminating against children and other folks who cannot be vaccinate or opted out of the vaccinations.

I could but also, it may not. I could cause one to get very ill as well. It's really a gamble. Some feel the gamble is worthwhile and others don't. If one is vaccinated, the unvaccinated pose less of a threat if, as you say, the vaccination keeps you out of the hospital and prevents death. So, what's the big deal mandating anything at this point? Let folks do what they want with their own bodies. Don't we hear that from Feminists in the abortion debate all the time?

Here's one. Most of the cruiselines adapted to the Florida law by requiring unvaccinated passengers undergo testing (at their own expense),travel insurance or other restrictions. But because the law has now been struck down, no doubt they will go back to their original plan of requiring vaccines.

Miami-based Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings has said it intends to require 100 percent of passengers and crew to be fully vaccinated to sail. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) issued an executive order in March barring businesses from requiring proof of vaccinations. He signed that order into state law on Monday.

“That’s an issue,” Norwegian CEO Frank Del Rio said during an earnings call this week. He said the company has been in talks with the governor’s office, and his legal experts believe the vaccination requirement falls under federal and not state law.

“But at the end of the day, cruise ships have motors, propellers and rudders, and god forbid we can’t operate in the state of Florida for whatever reason, then there are other states that we do operate from,” he said. “And we can operate from the Caribbean for ships that otherwise would’ve gone to Florida.”

As part of their plans to start cruising again, either from the United States when permitted or from other countries, cruise lines including Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Virgin, Crystal and Norwegian’s brands have said they will require everyone on board or every adult on board to be fully vaccinated.

DeSantis EO states that businesses cannot require proof of vaccination. The Norwegian Cruise Line is bucking that EO. That is what is happening. Nothing more, nothing less. Your hysteria, however, is noted but not very interesting.
