The historic Rolling Thunder motorcycle ride will be hosting its final parade next year, on May 26, 2019.

-------------------------------------

Another little piece of American going bye bye , It is pretty bad ass to see hundreds of bikes rolling down the highway. ( fore some it is anyway)

Hmmm ... too bad.

Almost worth buying a motorcycle to participate.

I`ve seen these goons in Washington D.C. elbowing female war protesters off the sidewalk and into the streets. They were also ripping anti-Iraq war signs out of the hands of old ladies. Women...they can handle. The Viet Cong...not so much. These fat ass slobs aren`t dying quick enough IMO.

Rolling Thunder was originally designed to spread to regional events all across the country but D.C. vendors and profiteers took control saw the millions that could be made in t-shirt sales, etc. More than a few greedy folks got rich off the scheme as they sold out POW/MIA's and other veteran issue's.

There's nothing wrong with getting rich through legal means.

True, you can collect millions in charity and keep most of it for yourself as long as you give some small percentage to the cause you are "legal".

Whatever the laws concerning such organizations say, right?

Glad you agree.

Legal is not the same as "ethical". Robbing veterans through manipulation of law is legal, but not ethical.

Mostly Vietnam Vets. are getting old and kids today would rather ride a video game. Besides you would probably get rocks thrown at you these days for flying the American Flag.

Ethics are mostly in the mind of the beholder.

Was this the group that said they were going to bring a million bikers to Washington D.C. and couldn't even break quadriple digits?

I really don`t know. These people and some losers calling themselves a Gathering of Eagles formed a human wall around the Vietnam memorial because they thought the protesters were going to vandalize it. Protesters that may have had friends and relatives` names on that wall. It should have been called a Gathering of Morons.

Middle class, suburban ghetto.
It started with a well-intentioned rally to bring attention to and maintain interest in Vietnam MIA. As usual, the event began to become more important than its message and too many motorcyclists got involved for attention and acceptance.
