Also, the family of one of his victims obtained a $43 million judgement against Goetz...

Yes absolutely. America's enacts laws such as 'Stand your ground' for the purpose of justifying murder on the part of mentally ill individuals who aren't satisfying their needs in the military.

This is indicative of Canadian lawmakers' approach to the issue. We don't mete out death sentences to others based on their skin colour or minor crimes they may commit.
