"Herschel Walker, the former football star turned political candidate, followed through on his promise this weekend to no-show at the debates for his U.S. Senate race. The first major debate for the Republican U.S. Senate race in Georgia was held on Saturday. Walker was a no-show. Walker was called out in football terms. “Every coach that he had in the past instructed him that you’ll not play in the game if you don’t show up for practice,” said fellow U.S. Senate candidate Gary Black. “But his coaches now have him locked in the basement of the locker room. I think it’s a shame.” Walker has the support of former United States president Donald Trump. He’s been skipping a number of notable GOP events and holding mostly private events."
If folks expect Herschel Walker to appear at any debate, period...they are living a fantasy....and if he does feel compelled to show up to a debate; he will forced to stick to a series of 4 or 5 talking points and repeat them over and over again no matter what the actual debate topic or question is.....His job is to be a popular name, someone folks can pretend being a good football player 40 years ago translates into "Well that means he will definitely be a great policy maker!!" -- this is nothing more but the celebration of intellectual rot...
Any GOP opponent of Herschel touting their experience as a policy maker or educational background will be mocked as an elitist...The only way a candidate can ever hope to upstage Walker in the GOP primary is if they were a famous former NASCAR driver who ran over and killed like 3 or 4 illegal aliens...and claim he did it for Jesus...
