Right vs. Left is Logic vs. Emotion

Jimmy Kimmel's recent viral monologue is a prime example of how the left values irrational emotions over logic and reason. That is why the left supports failed ideologies such as socialism, communism, etc. Because it feels good to them. They could care less that it ends in poverty, misery, and collapse.

Jimmy Kimmel illustrated this universal truth once again when he cried during his monologue about his baby (who is ok now) and proclaimed how nobody should have to decide between saving their child's life and money (as if anyone has ever had to make that "choice"). Life saving procedures cannot be denied regardless of a person's ability to pay. In addition to that inconvenient little fact, there is this gem:
The care, technology, and life saving treatment his family experienced was made possible by two, privately funded organizations. Both Cedars Sinai and Children’s Hospital LA are non-profit, not government-run, hospitals. This isn’t a coincidence.

When individuals are allowed to fund programs they like without a government mandate, we end up with more efficient and effective services. Hospitals are only one very important example.
Jimmy Kimmel’s Moving Story Shows Why Private Charity Trumps Government

You have just explained feminism.

Those private hospitals are great, I'm sure, but they sure are more expensive than most of the population can afford. So explain to me again how our current healthcare system is accessible to all? People can't afford to visit a hospital when they've got Obamacare--their $10,000 + deductibles are prohibitive. Same with doctor's visits. Kimmel as a father has every right to tear up relating the close call his newborn went through. You guys slamming "emotion" vs. "logic" aren't doing so hot when it comes to finding an actual solution to the problem, though. More and more people can't afford to visit doctors. Fix it.
St Jude childrens hospital provides treatments for free, and they provide housing for the parents.
Supported with donations.
The difference being, conservatives give to charity, leftists do not.
St. Jude's is wonderful, but I did not know it was 100% a conservative organization. No leftists are allowed to contribute, huh? I thought it was a Mason's hospital. Am I confusing it with another one?
We all know the left hardly give anything to charity, study after study shows it. You playing stupid simply shows your level of involvement.
An obvious answer to that is because Americans most wealthy vote Republican, as that's who the GOP caters to.
Except one problem - 43 of the top 50 wealthiest corporations give most to Democrats.

Obama would fly to Hollywood every few months because he knew rich people there would ignore him.

agreed. we should be focused on a common ground solution but our mindsets today won't allow it cause the "extremes" on both sides are "in control" more or less. maddening as hell.

my dad was unemployed for much of the later part of his life. "retirement" was a fantasy more or less cause he couldn't afford to. he worked hard all his life, provided for us all, and in the end, had to care for my mom who went through a 2nd round of cancer and lost.

needless to say we all had a hard time paying for our mothers care and she eventually lost her 2nd battle with cancer but once was she ever turned away nor denied care because of a lack of ability to pay. up front, or long term.

now this does put the "mess" on the backend and eventually it has to be paid for out of raised insurance rates and the like. when *i* was unemployed and had no insurance, every doctor to a "T" charged me 50% of what they'd normally bill insurance companies simply because they didn't have to deal with insurance companies.

to me - we have an insurance issue, not a healthcare one. "paying" is the issue not the quality of care. when people compare the cost of a particular surgery in another country does it count for our huge costs we have in regulations as well? i never think so.

we're our biggest enemy in healthcare due to what i view to be over-regulation/control, doctors being sued at the drop of a hat, and insurance needing to pay for their own investments, bad debt and the like. we've got a long way to go in my mind before we can ever have an apples to apples comparison and until then people on both sides will cherry pick their part of the discussion to float it in a given direction.

Then perhaps you can explain to all of us here if the right wing is so good at solving these problems of poverty and misery, why do red states such as the south have such low standards of income, healthcare, and education, and blue states such as those the west coast and the north east out preform the south in all those areas??? :bye1:
Low standards of income? It's cheaper to live in the south so they make less on average. It's called the marketplace, that needs to be explained to you? And I don't know where you get the idea healthcare and education has lower standards. Lots of northern universities teach garbage for a lot of money. I suppose your standards are different than mine.

I'm speaking of citizens donating, not big donors to politicians... but we can change the conversation if that's the only way you can participate.

Being a complete asshole is the only form of communication you know. I responded to your comment:

"Americans most wealthy vote Republican..."

Most social welfare programs are pragmatic and actually lower the cost of poverty on society. The so-called left, liberal and progressive programs that the right whines about save huge amounts of societal problems and funds that keep those problems manageable.
It is the right in its current form that attempts to rule and create policies based on emotion.

Yeah, those Democrat big city strongholds sure have reduced poverty!

More bullshit. First, I never claimed leftists never gave to charity. Second, Conservatives give to charity. Where the money is used to help people.

Face it, you lefties hate to help people.\

Liberals do give to charities, like the Clinton Foundation...unfortunately the Clinton Foundation doesn't give the donations to those that need it.
