They aren't turning in naked ballots to be counted. They are dropping off mail-in ballot envelopes, the same as if they dropped them in a USPS blue box. By turning them in they are treated the same as all other mail in envelopes.

This isn't "early voting" it's returning mail in ballots which have to be received by election day, OR 3 days after election day from the USPS.

Ballots can be returned to the county offices in person over the weekend. The law allows voter to return ballots in person up until 7.p.m on election day.

Observers will be allowed, no badges or ID required. The offices are open to the public.

As far as the ballot dropoffs, I can't really see a problem. It does not sound like they are talking about unattended drop boxes, but turning in a ballot to an election worker in person. You can't really deny someone that.

GA is like PA- there is a huge decrease in mail-in ballots this time around.
2020 there were 1.78 Million mail-in ballots requested.
2024 has only 315K.

Much harder to cheat when people are voting in person...

The dropoff is a problem if it violates state law.

Any handling of ballot while deliberatly excluding poll watchers is a big problem. It removes all credibility from Georgia's election results.
