The only sympathy I have for those complaining about the election is with regard to the emergency rules changes put in place in the name of COVID. I'm know that many of those decisions were made by Democrats in ways that tilted the vote in their favor. But, if so, that was just a case of Republicans being asleep at the wheel.

It's like partisan gerrymandering. Someone will control the process and use that control to their advantage. That's a shitty, corrupt way to use state power - and the Democrats responsible should be held accountable. At the very least they should be called out for it vigorously. And where it can be shown it was done illegally, prosecuted.

But the 2000 mules type shit is just true believers jerking off.

From what I've seen, the stolen election crap is purely, and obviously, denial. The fact that SO many people have been looking SO desperately for SO long for evidence of a conspiracy - and found nothing - only reinforces my conclusion.

But anyone should be allowed to question anything they want. If Trump can't accept defeat, and insists - like a five year old who doesn't want to lose - that "they cheated", that his right. And if his followers want to join in the denial, that's their right as well.

This is what Democrats don't get. They think winning an election gives them carte blanche to ram their agenda through Congress (famously expressed by Obama - "Elections have consequences") and force their will on the minority. But it doesn't work that way. You push people too far and they rebel. At that point, the arguments and justifications don't matter. If half the country hates what you're doing, you won't be able to govern effectively.

I guess you haven't been watching the news for the past 3 years. Every couple of weeks something new comes out about election irregularity somewhere in the country that took place in 2020. Fulton county just made the headlines yesterday as as the local election board ran away from a crowd seeking transparency.
