Rick Perry is the GOPs best bet against Obama

On Sunday, Gov. Perry traveled to Colorado to speak at a shadowy conservative gathering hosted by the Koch brothers.
Perry spokesman Mark Miner described the Colorado summit as a "private gathering of business leaders". The guest list was kept secret and organizers wouldn't say where the four-day retreat was held beyond describing it as in the general vicinity of Vail.

"It's not entirely clear how Perry got to Colorado, but a plane owned by aircraft dealer Goldsmith Team LLC flew from Aspen to Georgetown on Sunday, flight records show," the Austin American-Statesman's Jason Embry reports. Goldsmith Team LLC made more than $25,000 worth of in-kind contributions to Perry's 2010 re-election campaign.

This is how Rick Perry operates. He owes huge favors to the corporate interests that fund his campaigns. It makes complete sense that these corporate overlords want to check in to remind Perry who he really works for. And Perry heeds their call like an obedient dog.

Gin....I concur........only seen him speak a couple of times but his level of charisma schools the other GOP candidates. He's got a record of accomplishments miles long......the exact thing Obama did not. Americans are going to be thinking of that when they go to the polls next year, "Shit.....we gave a shot to a guy with zero experience but long on hope and look what we got?"

Rick Perry has definite charisma. You've just got to like the man.
Besides, he despatched a coyote with a little .380 pistol. How kewl is that?

Gov. Rick PerryAUSTIN June 20, 2008 -- In April, Governor Rick Perry surprised many Texans with his announcement that he will run for yet another term in 2010. Mr. Perry replaced Gov. George W. Bush in 2000, and will complete a full decade as Governor of Texas, even if he does not run again.

The Governor has seen strong opposition regarding his "Trans-Texas Corridor"(TTC) project, and this divisive issue contributed to his weak performance in the last gubernatorial election. Rick Perry pulled in just 39% of the vote in the 2006 governor's race, just enough to win the four-way face-off between himself, Democrat Chris Bell, and independents Kinky Friedman and Carole Keeton Strayhorn.

According to Governor Perry's "superhighway" plan, the State of Texas will confiscate hundreds of thousands of acres of privately-owned land, in a strip extending from the Texas-Mexico border up to the Red River. Prior to forcibly purchasing the coveted properties, state officials have agreed to lease out the land to foreign companies such as Cintra who will finance, build, and take the profits from new toll roads, rail, pipelines, and electrical infrastructure. And if Rick Perry's plans happen to cut through land you own that you don't want to sell? With their currently recognized "eminent domain" powers, Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) officials are now legally permitted to give you "an offer you can't refuse."

AUSTIN - Governor Rick Perry today unveiled the "Trans Texas Corridor" plan, a fiscally responsible and innovative transportation blueprint that will:

improve our state's transportation needs,
move the transport of hazardous materials out of urban population centers,
reduce air pollution
and significantly improve opportunities for economic development and job creation in Texas.

The Trans Texas Corridor incorporates toll and non-toll roads, high-speed freight and commuter rail, water lines, oil and gas pipelines, electric transmission lines, broadband and other telecommunications infrastructure in the same corridors.

AUSTIN (AP) — Bypassing the Legislature, Republican Gov. Rick Perry signed an order Friday making Texas the first state to require that schoolgirls get vaccinated against the sexually transmitted virus that causes cervical cancer.

By issuing an executive order, Perry apparently sidesteps opposition in the Legislature from conservatives and parents' rights groups who fear such a requirement would condone premarital sex and interfere with the way parents raise their children.

Thanks for all that moman! I like perry even more now :clap2:

Some good some bad. He is a career politician and that and that works against him 98%. His redeeming quality, the only one, is that he is such a political whore that when the voters put the fire to his ass, he will change his mind. For that one and only reason he is reelected in Texas, and if it is between him and Obama, I will vote for him. Did you read the TTC and Merik debacle also ? he is also weak on Illegal immigration, but with enough pressure from the voters he may flip flop on that issue to. Vote away, just know all you can about the candidate. Ignorant voter is the biggest reason McCain was ran against Obama, and why Obama became President. Glad you liked it.

Rick Perry was Algore's campaign manager. Just because he wears a cowboy hat and shoots guns, that doesn't mean he's a conservative.

Oh and by the way, Obama the Warmongering Dick Tater needs to be impeached.
