I am not okay with harmful toxins in the food supply that the FDA approves so millions of Americans believe they are okay? FDA approval should be like the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval assuring people that their food and medicine supply is as safe and healthy as possible.

You put somebody like RFK Jr in charge of it. He has pledged to use the 'gold standard of science' to determine what is and is not safe for Americans to have in their food and medicine supply. And anything that doesn't meet that gold standard will not have FDA approval. I think we are long overdue having someone with that agenda having authority to use it.

He has nothing personally to gain from not doing the job honorably. And he is wealthy enough he is not likely to be susceptible to any kind of bribes.

Whatever the sequence, I do not want to put unnecessary substances into my body that can and most likely will harm me. Yellow Dye #5 is one of perhaps hundreds or thousands of additives put into processed foods and/or meds that Big Pharma or Big Business probably doesn't care about needless side effects unless they are successfully sued. The approval of the FDA makes it unlikely they are at much risk from that.

Many have not been tested. That in itself is a problem. I remember when it was said that Roundup is perfectly safe. Ummmm, nope. It's unsafe. It's in our food supply.

RFKjr is going to approach health from the 'producer' side instead of the 'consumer' side of the problem. The companies and agencies will fight him at every step, while the citizenry will continue their chosen habits and lifestyles. It will be a wasted effort and opportunity. So sad.

So do I, but take a look around. All those fat people and fat kids is not by accident. It's one thing to expect government to keep you healthy, it's quite another when the government is involved in trying to keep you sick. That's where we are.

I honestly haven't researched that. I do know class action suits have become a cottage industry with unethical law firms scouring the country looking for something, anything they can turn into one and thereby rake in millions and millions for those law firms should they be successful.

But certainly having FDA approval shields the makers of harmful substances as well as the pharmaceutical companies and food industry that uses them.
