RFKjr should reduce SNAP benefits.

Yes. And their deadbeat fathers who sell benefits for drugs.

SNAP benefits should be required to hold to a strict dietary limit that reduces or eliminates carbs and other poisons like high fructose corn syrup.
Carbs are not poison. Where the fuck did you learn about nutrition? :dunno:

Why is it that the people like you who know the least about nutrition are the one who are the most confident that they know what other individuals should be eating?

Dunning-Kruger, perhaps?

Freezing food is simply a way to preserve it using cold temperatures. It does not make it unhealthy.

You also mentioned "cheap". Price is another factor that is irrelevant to nutrient content.

By cheap Im refering to ones like Hungry man and Swanson. Sometimes things are cheap because of the way they are mass produced. Its not like you cant find frozen dinners that are healthier, but poor people will often go for the ones that are the cheapest and not bother to think about the ingredients.

They, as in Mothers with children?
If mothers with children on SNAP have money to hang out in bars, then we taxpayers don’t need to pay for their Pepsi and Fritos.

What the fuck are you talking about?

Which of the essential micronutrients are carbohydrate soluble?

You stupid fuck.

We need Protein and we need fat. We do NOT need carbohydrates.

In fact, you can thrive and be the healthiest you ever will be by living without Carbs.

It is true that if you cut out all carbs and only eat protein and fat, and some vegetables your metabolism will then convert to using fat as fuel. Your body will burn the fat then, but it doesnt work if you are also eating carbs at the same time, you'll just get fat! Most people use carbs for energy/ fuel and its also why some people have weight problems.

But sounds like you know this.

Many of the 40 million or so SNAP recipients are overweight and notoriously sickly. RFKjr should reduce the monthly benefit by disallowing all unhealthy foods, snacks, and beverages. That will improve their health while reducing the budget.
Meanwhile the hyper wealthy laugh and get wealthier.

The entire key to weight used to be considered calories in/out. We now know that the quality of the calories matter and that the real issue the health is insulin.

People can live forever without carbohydrates. They are not an essential macro.

The liver prefers to burn carbs over fat, but it also prefers to prioritize alcohol over carbs. We cannot base health on what the liver prioritizes but on how well we can control our insulin hormone.

Your body will produce all the glucose it needs from protein.

Gonna hafta solve the food desert problems first.
A made-up problem. People living in "food deserts" are highly mobile. They can easily find their way to a good food store.

The "food desert" is caused by the consumers, not the suppliers. They buy more Doritos than green beans, so the grocery store supplies Doritos rather than green beans. It's not rocket science.

Take Doritos off the menu and the grocery store will be stocking green beans.
I buy green beans by the case on Amazon.

How did you come to those stupid conclusions?

Can you cite a few studies showing that freezing food makes it unhealthy and causes obesity?
It's the salt content that's over the top, and they are way too expensive for the nutrition you get.

Dude, no.
So-called food deserts are a made-up problem. Study it for yourself. Only 2.3 million are affected, and most of those are on food assistance programs. Why they don't access good food is a mystery. It's a meaningless issue.

Me at age 11 (1951). Grew up poor and skinny but very healthy. Note that I was outdoors in the sun and fresh air, not sitting in front of a video game or television. However, a few years later when most had television outdoor activities declined greatly. I was even guilty of watching tv instead of being outdoors. However, I never got fat by doing so.

Damn! You are Methuselah!

Want an example? How many people live in downtown Jacksonville Florida. Just pick a wild-assed guess! 50,000? Do you know how many grocery stores are in the inner city in Jacksonville? There was one while I lived there. It closed because the company went under and the company that bought them out did not reopen the store because it was a net loss due to all of the theft. I lived about 5 road miles from downtown. The closest grocery store to us was in that same chain. Guess which other store also did not reopen. The next closest store about a mile further away from downtown also went under. The closest store to downtown is now a Walmart Neighborhood Market which reopened an old Food Lion store. It is about 8 miles from downtown. This occurred over the years that I lived there and is still true today 18 years later.

Food deserts exist. We have one developing in the southern part of Clarksville TN as there are no grocery stores in the downtown and southern areas of the city. The northern parts of the city are covered in stores with new ones being built to handle population growth. I have three major stores within a mile of my house, Southern parts of the county must drive about 10 miles to reach a grocery store. Many have started going to neighboring cities to avoid the traffic and hassle.

The only thing meaningless in this conversation is your uninformed opinion.

My ENT doctor was "flabbergasted" when he learned my age. He said, "You are not what I expected an 84 y/o man to be." (85 next month.)
That's great! I pray for continued good health for you!

I am 64 and no one believe I am that old. When I verify my date of birth to the medical people they are shocked.

When I was teaching, most kids can tell age very well I know, but one conversation was particularly funny. I had a student ask my age, so I asked them how old they thought I was. Their reply was "late thirties". I told them that my 31-year-old daughter might just have a problem with that. I was 53 at the time.
