I keep hearing Repubs hiding behind the notion that a substantial majority of the public must support impeachment for it to be justified. Geesh, what crap.

All day long Trumpette's post demonstrably false lies and distortions on this board about the impeachment process in the House, the facts about what Trump and members of the admin did with respect to Ukraine, the timing of when Ukraine knew they were being extorted, legal precedents regarding executive privilege and the enforceability of congressional subpoenas. These lies both come from and are reinforced by the deceit of right wing media sources like Faux.

So, how in the modern era of so many egregiously dishonest conservative media outlets can we realistically expect to reach a majority consensus on the underlying reasons for impeachment when there are millions of brainwashed rubes who still believe the Zelensky call was "perfect?" This, despite the admission by numerous Repub senators that the House proved its case and are repulsed by what Trump did but will not vote to convict anyway...........essentially because...........they recognize Trump is Dear Leader to 90% of Repubs.........and would rather leave an unfit, lawless moron in office than risk losing a re-election. Surely the Founders never foresaw a circumstance like this.

Your first sentence is a fail. There is no one in the GOP looking to public opinion to justify President Trump's Impeachment and/or removal. That is complete rubbish. Justification begins with actual wrongdoing, not Democrat conjecture on what President Trump's motives for investigating Bidens corruption.
