Republican's message to the dwindling middle-class:

Republican message to the middle class, which is NOT dwindling at all:

Keep up the good work. Resist and stay out of unions. Don't let phony democrats sway you. Learn from the examples of Detroit and Chicago. Honor the family unit. Teach your children morality.

Vote Republican!

BTW, if Bernie Sanders had anything resembling GUTS he would be a Democrat rather than this ersatz, Democrat asshole-licking nobody, who caucuses with Democrats, but like the true phony that he is, he calls himself INDEPENDENT.

What middle class does Bernie Sanders expect to create with the types of jobs being created? The Government isn't creating jobs which makes the nation richer, they're creating jobs which makes the nation poorer. The Government spent more than $3 Trillion dollars and the only jobs they've managed to create were non-productive service sector jobs.

A middle class is the result of a vibrant economy, not the other way around. You don't create a middle class.

You're on your own, we've got our hands full protecting the *cough* "job creators" [ :eusa_shhh: AKA- the ultra wealthy ;) ]

Bernie Sanders: You Can't Cut The Deficit When Middle Class Is 'Disappearing'

The GOP is very concerned about the middle class. The middle class continues to want job security, good pay, generous benefits, time off for family, good public schools, safe food & water, healthcare when they need it, and medicare and social security in good shape for their ageing parents and themselves when they need it too.

This concerns the GOP very much. They are very worried about this. The GOP's steadfast belief in not doing anything about these concerns, and instead bringing "freedom" to job creators, as well as to Iraqis at gunpoint, didn't work for two Presidential elections in a row, and this worries the GOP a lot.

They don't know what to do. I think they should stop being so conservative, and be more moderate to liberal. In fact, I predict that's exactly what they'll do.

You cant have good schools with unions

Pay is determined by worth....liberals dont pay anymore

Actually this article pinpoints Obama's problem, few care about whatever cuts they make. That those that fly managed to get Congress to get the air traffic controllers back? Is that the result of 'Americans' or congressional critters themselves? I'm guessing the later.

None of them care about the people. Sooner the people recognize that the better.

Republican lawmakers have insisted on making harsh spending cuts -- in many cases, cuts to safety net programs --

Republicans in a nut shell ... it's all they know, they have the same rudder as the Titanic and as well the same future.

Everyone wants this. Poor, Working Poor, Middle Class, Upper-Middle Class and Rich alike. However, this is not something which can be mandated. Employment is not a one way street. Terms of employment can only be discussed upon between the employee and employer.

This concerns the GOP very much. They are very worried about this. Are you saying employers should have no rights?

Reaganism and voodoo have ruined the nonrich and the country. When the Feds cut taxes, the states and localities raise fees and taxes (and PAYROLL TAXES, now more money than fed income taxes!) that kill the nonrich. Pay attention, morons:

The Demise of the American Middle Class In Numbers.

Over the past 60 years the American dream has gradually disappeared. The process was slow, so most people didn’t notice. They just worked a few more hours, borrowed a little more and cut back on non-essentials. But looking at the numbers and comparing them over long time periods, it is obvious that things have changed drastically. Here are the details:

1. WORKERS PRODUCE MORE BUT THE GAINS GO TO BUSINESS.

Over the past 63 years worker productivity has grown by 2.0% per year.

But after 1980, workers received a smaller share every year. Labor’s share of income (1992 = 100%):

1950 = 101%
1960 = 105%
1970 = 105%
1980 = 105% – Reagan
1990 = 100%
2000 = 96%
2007 = 92%

A 13% drop since 1980

2. THE TOP 10% GET A LARGER SHARE.

Share of National Income going to Top 10%:

1950 = 35%
1960 = 34%
1970 = 34%
1980 = 34% – Reagan
1990 = 40%
2000 = 47%
2007 = 50%

An increase of 16% since Reagan.

3. WORKERS COMPENSATED FOR THE LOSS OF INCOME BY SPENDING THEIR SAVINGS.

The savings Rose up to Reagan and fell during and after.

1950 = 6.0%
1960 = 7.0%
1970 = 8.5%
1980 = 10.0% – Reagan
1982 = 11.2% – Peak
1990 = 7.0%
2000 = 2.0%
2006 = -1.1% (Negative = withdrawing from savings)

A 12.3% drop after Reagan.

4. WORKERS ALSO BORROWED TO MAKE UP FOR THE LOSS.

Household Debt as percentage of GDP:

1965 = 46%
1970 = 45%
1980 = 50% – Reagan
1990 = 61%
2000 = 69%
2007 = 95%

A 45% increase after 1980.

5. SO THE GAP BETWEEN THE RICHEST AND THE POOREST HAS GROWN.

Gap Between the Share of Capital Income earned by the top 1%
and the bottom 80%:

1980 = 10%
2003 = 56%

A 5.6 times increase.

6. AND THE AMERICAN DREAM IS GONE.

The Probably of Moving Up from the Bottom 40% to the Top 40%:

1945 = 12%
1958 = 6%
1990 = 3%
2000 = 2%

A 10% Decrease.

I'm guessing you copied and pasted this because aside from some of the links not working, a lot of the data doesn't represent what you have posted...

But users actually knowing economics, doing research and all that stuff... Psh. Not for this forum I guess. Go figure.

Not sure what planet you are living on, but the middle class is diminishing more and more every day, right along with unions. Funny how that has happened.
