Dear Republicans,

Keep pretending that Dobbs and Trump don’t matter to the electorate.

Sincerely,

The Real World

Alaska doesn't like a serial quitter.

Ranked clusterfuck voting elevates yet another schmendrick who didn't win the election.
From that article in the OP:

Political observers say that the outcome of the special election will shape the November race. After just a few weeks to prove her legislative might in Washington, Peltola will enter the November election as the incumbent, with the associated fundraising advantages and visibility. Republicans will likely be galvanized to hone their messaging under the ranked choice voting system — which was narrowly approved by voters through a 2020 ballot measure — and encourage their supporters to rank both red candidates on the ballot.
So, realistically, this is a very shallow win for the Dem candidate. Good to November’s actual election. 😎

Oh, and maybe some Republican solidarity via the abysmal ranked choice voting crap will help in the real election.

It's over Sarah. Time to retire and enjoy life.

Defeat for Palin closes the door on an immediate political comeback — but she is also on the ballot in Alaska’s regularly scheduled congressional election this fall, when the winner will earn a full two-year term.

However, I'm pleased Begich didn't win either.

Anyway, one whole house seat. Yessireebob. Definitely means the red wave is doomed. Definitely. 😂
I know. A seat in a reliable red state that you’ve held for 50 years doesn’t mean anything…
