Our congress is spineless and will refuse to take a stand whenever possible.

When Trump declared a national emergency to push through tariffs the House Democrats had 15 days to craft a bill and challenge the emergency. They did so and thus under the National Emergencies Act the bill had to be brought to a floor vote within 3 days to either support or squash the emergency. So, what did the Republicans do to avoid putting themselves on record? They passed resolution that for purpose of this Act redefined a single day as not 24 hours but rather from March 11th through the remainder of 2025.

And it's not only Republicans. The Democrats pulled something similar when they were in power so as to avoid taking any stance when the Republicans wished to challenge Biden's declaration of a national emergency over COVID.

Our congress is gutless.
