With as many as 2.9 million new and existing jobs on the line, House Republicans are refusing to pass a transportation reauthorization bill, even after the SenateÂ’s version of the bill overwhelmingly passed through the upper chamber in a 74-22 bipartisan vote.

The deadline for new transportation funding is June 30, and if the calendar flips to July without a compromise, as many as 1.9 million workers could lose their jobs, at least temporarily. The Senate version of the bill, if adapted, would create an additional one million new jobs as well, according to Department of Transportation projections.

So why are House Republicans holding nearly three million jobs hostage? Because they want approval of the controversial Keystone XL pipeline to be included in the bill. This infographic gives a sense of the GOPÂ’s priorities:

The pipeline should already be approved, what the **** is the President waiting for?

No proof of anything, no links to Bill, not even a Real Story

For the 100 and one time lefties..federal jobs do not grow the economy. The federal government is not an employment agency. Transportation seems to be working OK so it seems that that I don't have to shell out a percentage of my personal wealth to finance jobs that we don't freaking need.

Uh, that is not being informed.

That is you getting the equivalent of an electronic handjob in exchange for towing the party line regardless of how stupid it sounds. None of those articles is of any value.

NO MONEY TREE????!!! Isn''t that the whole reason they need those buses to keep running, they need to get uptown to shake that money tree before heading out to the strip clubs. Next thing you know you'll be telling us there's no money train either.
