sigh.. ok. You asked:
"WHy is that? Why do you think that the democrats are so committed to these new, more lax, rules?"
I answered: "because the new rules get more democrat voters to the polls."
Which part has you confused
I guess by "the extension" you mean the rules changes that were implement in the name of COVID. I don't know that they will result in MORE dem voters. But it sounds like both Ds and Rs think they will. That's why Ds want to stick with the new rules and Rs want to get rid of them (or come up with their own new rules).
Yep.If it just gets more VOTERS to the polls, with no advantage to the dems, that is not much of a motive.
Near as I can tell both parties are willing to drive our country right into the shitter in the name "winning".Yet they are willing to sacrifice our democracy for that? Seems odd.
Do they involve pedos or space lasers? That is one possibility. And I am open to the possibility that dem voters are by nature, lazier and less able to make an appointment, with a narrow window of 12 hours.
BUT, there are other, even less savory possible answers.
