Republicans have a poor understanding of economics. They should have no place in making policy

No actually ever since he raised taxes and the economy began recovering so revenues increased the deficit has gone down. And it has not gone down to where it was before the recession started.
Poor Joe. His ignorance is so deep he has to make up shit.

YOu are actually admitting the economy has recovered on Obama's watch?

No, it hasn't gone down yet. We can thank Bush for that. Of course, Bush was the guy who turned 200 billion surpluses into trillion dollar deficits... and you guys want to elect his brother.

The economy has recovered despite Obama's best efforts, not because of them.
Bush didnt turn anything into anything. There was no surplus. And little factors like 9/11 and the end of the tech boom had more to do with the budget than Bush.
But for simple minded people the explanation "BOOSH" covers it. This is why you invoke his name all the time.

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

<sarcasm>Of course Obama has nothing to do with the improving economy ... the economy is growing thanks to Reagan winning the Cold War and the Reagan economy resulting from his peace dividend.</sarcasm>

How much debt has Barack Obama created during his six years in office compared to Ronald Reagan's eight years in office? Your continued insistence on using the percentage of increase is laughably misleading and you know it.

Well, no, it really isn't.

Especially since most of the debt that Obama accumulated was already baked into the pie by bush's tax cuts for rich people, wars and interest on the debt.

Oddly, since he ended the wars and revoked the tax breaks for the rich, the deficit has gone down.

Has the deficit gone down because of something Barack Obama has cut...or has it gone down because of Sequestration...the Sequestration that he's been very vocal about wanting to abolish because it's not letting him spend the money that he wants to?

The economy is improving because of the oil and natural gas boom...something that Barack Obama didn't want to see happen. If you remember...he was the guy saying that what we needed was $6 a gallon gasoline.

The US economy IS improving but it's despite Obama rather than because of him. If his agenda hadn't been stopped during the 2010 mid-terms he was looking for Cap & Trade legislation as his next big progressive initiative. That would have cost us hundreds of thousands of additional jobs and brought what little economic recovery we have had to a screeching halt.

Umm, gas was going for about $3.50 a gallon (give or take depending on where in the U.S.) until 2014. Meanwhile, the economy has been improving since 2010.

But I understand ... as a rightie, you have to find any excuse imaginable just to avoid giving Obama any credit. It's what righties do.

Ronald Reagan’s First Term – $656 billion increase

Ronald Reagan’s Second Term – $1.036 trillion increase

Barack Obama’s First Term – $5.806 trillion increase

A lie. Shocking.

Yes, Ronnie tripled the debt that EVERY other US Prez created, Dubya doubled it and Obama will, even though Dubya handed him the worst economy since the GOP's great depression and Korean war levels of revenues (less than 15% of GDP), Obama will increase debt by only 70%

It seems Republicans sit around all day signing pledges. When Reagan got into office, Republicans were so busy signing sessions pledges they missed part about Republicans borrowing more money, this time, tripling the debt. When Bush got into office and in their haste to sign even more pledges the Republicans borrowed more, this time doubling the debt. A law should be passed preventing Republicans from signing any more pledges, our economy might not be able to handle it.
Does your concern over the debt carry over to the Obama Administration...or is it reserved for Republicans only? Who piled more debt on the country...Ronald Reagan or Barack Obama? I'll give you a hint...it's not even CLOSE!

True, Reagan came into office as debt was going down as the share of GDP (and tax revenues were 20% of GDP), he fixed that FAST and ended up increasing US debt by 289%. Obama on the other hand came into office after Dubya had CREATED a recession and took US to below 15% of GDP in tax revenues, AND will only increase the debt by about 70% in his term (after Dubya doubled it, lol)

It's a simple question, Dad...

How much debt has Barack Obama created during his six years in office compared to Ronald Reagan's eight years in office? Your continued insistence on using the percentage of increase is laughably misleading and you know it.

Got it, you won't look at it like ECONOMISTS do, percentage of GDP. Instead you want no context and you claim I'm fudging? lol

Yes but but Congress sets spending!
Oh wait, that doesnt look so good either as Democrats controlled Congress under both Presidents.

Yeah, Prez's agenda doesn't matter, lol

Q: During the Clinton administration was the federal budget balanced? Was the federal deficit erased?

A: Yes to both questions, whether you count Social Security or not.

The Budget and Deficit Under Clinton

Sequester? lol

There is a difference between cutting taxes from a 90% rate, and cutting taxes as Reagan and Bush did. Both tax cuts cost jobs, increased poverty and resulted in the transfer of wealth to the rich.

LOL, the irony a leftist posts this in a thread that "Republicans" don't know anything about economics.

Is this what you read in The Little Red Book, MaoLady?

Republicans are the ones who killed US oil production. Under the Obamacrats the US once again became the worlds top oil producer.

Can we get any more excuses.

SO do you agree that the Republican House of Reps members did benefit from the redrawing of voter districts?
I know in Ohio that John Bohner and Mike Turner both benefited. How about your state. No?

There was no redistricting in my state.
Don't you live in Utah? we had the most blatant example of gerrymandering in the country when they split in avenues in half. And they had the gall to call it "One Utah".

Uh...no I don't.

That would be Jake the Fake.

Where I live (Kansas), we don't need to gerrymander. We own the place.
Why were you so offended by my comment a while back about the hayseed buffoons that Utahans tend to elect then?

What in gods name Did they manage to do that ?
Will be waiting for that answer

rabbit, you sure as **** don't tire of spouting nonsense and shit you know nothing about.. Why should anyone else?

Republicans have their work cut out for them, I mean trying to write posts that indicate the economy has not improved and in fact gotten worse. Republican's should stick with the birth-certificate thing. This thread is just more evidence that the Republican concept of improving the economy means America's wealthy become more wealthy.
