Republicans double standard on Socialism

Republicans are a strange group when it comes to Socialism. They turn a blind eye to the hundreds of billions of our tax dollars freely given away to the Fortune 500 in the form of corporate subsidies, grants, rollover - no bid contracts and other corporate welfare goodies, most of which is spent on stock buy backs, inflated pay for their exec's and lavish offshore corporate retreats. but....let a recently laid off waitress apply for food stamps to feed herself and her children while she applies for another job, and Republicans point their fingers and scream that SHE is the reason America is in decline, that lazy Socialist bitch!! :mad-61:

Are you folks aware that twice as much tax money is spent on corporate welfare as on social welfare? I read the quarterly financial reports for Goldman Sachs, Exxon Mobile, Wal-Mart, Bank of America and other collectors of corporate welfare. They don't need any more of our tax dollars, in fact most of them are swimming in cash.

So - Why the Republican double standard on Socialism??

Okay, first of all, Repubs aren't the only ones who turn a blind eye to our tax dollars going to corporate subsidies, grants, loans, etc. I you don't think there are democrats who protect the businesses and corporations in their districts and states then you are an ideological fool. Everybody in DC protects their political interests by inserting exceptions and provisions into spending legislation to make sure their specific ox does not get gored. Everybody, don't give me this crap that it's only the GOP.

Corporate subsidies, grants, loans, etc., is NOT socialism. A lot of it is crony capitalism, and neither political party has any moral high ground to stand on. What they want to do is screw over the other party's supporters and protect their own political interests.

"let a recently laid off waitress apply for food stamps to feed herself and her children while she applies for another job, and Republicans point their fingers and scream that SHE is the reason America is in decline, that lazy Socialist bitch!!"

This is absolute, unadulterated bullshit.
No we dont look at her and say "that lazy socialist bitch". We look at those who bitch and moan how their lives suck, while smoking dope, living in their parents basement. That is the lazy socialist bitch/bastard...Cant be sexist there...

That excuse went out the window when Twitter decided to cut off Trump's account.
Not only is most of the money in this country in the possession of the Left...but many Republicans aren't true conservatives.

But I think you have a problem understanding what real socialism is.
It's not free money paid by the taxpayer.
It's primarily government controlling all forms of food production and the total absence of private property ownership.

You know......the part about "Communism being the goal"?

The tax system in our nation started in one more streamlined simple way in its applications. Over the years a hodge podge of new rules, laws with added taxes and fees and everything thrown in including the kitchen sink has made the tax code a morass of tentacles into near everything. The globalism which was supported by a growing amount of politicians many decades ago actually pushed companies to leave the United States for lower tax environs. We need to find the balance that is best for our nation. even with it... it will not be perfect.

Explain with actual proof how China helped get Biden elected. A rational person knows that had Trump showed more empathy and handled the pandemic much better then he did, he might have won. I doubt he would have carried the popular vote but the undemocratic electoral college might have come through for a second time.

That's nothing but a lie dreamed up by the Democrats.
Trump did everything he could....put his full support behind the effort.....let Mike Pence handle the program.

The fact is.....the election was stolen....because all it took was for them to control the counting process.

I'm gonna tell you a story.....about how the left used the release of a Chinese virus to steal an election.
The media can make anything seem more serious than it really is.....Jan 6th is a perfect example.....as is Russian Collusion.
They needed mail-in voting to fudge the numbers.
So they used the virus to change election laws in key states and make signature checks unnecessary.
Give them enough time and they could make up any deficit with millions of unsecured ballots pouring in.
Trump was sweeping the election.....so they halted the count and started rebooting Dominion's counting machines.
All of the sudden Trump votes started switching to Biden votes.
All they needed was to know how many to falsify.

There is nothing wrong with stock buy backs. They benefit the public, 401K, IRA, Pensions, and life insurance and other investments.

There is nothing wrong with no-bid contracts. You need to go learn why they exist.

There is nothing wrong with rollovers... so I'm not even sure why you would even think there was.

So with all the 'socialism' you are talking about.

A tax break, is not socialism. The vast vast majority of what you claim as socialism, is really government NOT stealing the work of other people. That is the opposite of socialism.

However, there are some grants and subsidies that are given out. And all of them are left-wing programs. Not generally Republican.

They don't need any more of our tax dollars,

Your link shows someone giving some of "our tax dollars" to a corporation?

Which politicians? Which corporations? I didn't see any specifics. Did you?

For example, every year, Americans spend an estimated $153 billion in taxes and on programs to subsidize McDonald’s and Walmart’s low-wage workers.

That's horrible!! How much would Americans spend in taxes and on programs if
McDonald's and Walmart didn't hire those workers? More or less?

So tax cuts are welfare?

You assume all money belongs to the government.
Exactly. In the Dems mind, NOT taking someone's money equals a "handout"

Wall Street loves Democrats.

They gave more money to Obama, Clinton and China Joe than they gave to the opponents.

They loved Obama's bailout of the banks and failing auto industry.

Democrats put everybody on welfare, foreign and domestic. That is why the Swamp loves them so much.

I have had concerning Vladimir Putin, Karl Marx, Adolf Hitler, and Benito Mussolini have led me to wonder about the following question: What causes any human being to adopt the dirigiste mind-set? There seem to be an awful lot of people in the world who believe economies would work one heck of a lot better if they were only more centrally directed by their government. These include progressives in the United States, Western European-style socialists in the European Union, the fascists of the Russian Federation, the communist mandarins of China, and most Japanese involved with the Japanese government. For that matter, I get the impression dirigisme claims most of humanity as believers. But what can possibly convert them all to that religion?

The Meaning of Dirigisme

Why am I using the word “dirigisme”, rather than socialism or fascism? The reason is because it is a broader classification than socialism or fascism, encompassing all socialists (which includes fascists), but also including less autocratic people who would nevertheless like to see a great deal of state intervention in the economy. For example, all Keynesians should be counted in the dirigiste ranks, and all American progressives are certainly dirigiste.. . . "

What they have yet to demonstrate is that they can summon the same boldness and creativity to rein in a runaway shadow banking system and wean the economy off its addiction to cheap and easy credit. The bet on Wall Street is that they never will."

I was spanked for using the wiki and so I posted another link on socialism from Britannica which I repeat here you may think me ignorant on the subject and maybe I don't remember as much as you do, college was a long time ago but I had majors in Philosophy and Math. All I was trying to say is that not all socialism leads to communism. socialism | Definition, History, Examples, & Facts As far as this country is concerned i don't believe it is a true democracy rather a Patriarchal Racist Republic founded with slavery and women as second class citizens.

This argument is so old and outdated it's ridiculous.
Clearly corporations aren't peopled with just conservatives.

For your edification there are different forms of socialism and I provided a link where you can understand the differences which evidently you don't. Socialism - Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I understand it. Better than you do. Did you even read your own reference?
You know......the part about "Communism being the goal"?
I've read it many times and not all forms of socialism has communism as it's goal if that were true then your original definition would be but it isn't. Sorry to burst your bubble.
Sorry, but that is the goal of our leaders. Just ask China.....you know....that communist country that helped get Biden elected.
Hate to burst your bubble.

Socialism isn't what it's all cracked up to be.
If it was.....they wouldn't have to use force....like they're using today.....that's what communism is.

There is no way to convince a delusional person so I'll just say there was no kraken and if they had real proof it would have gone all the way to the supreme court and the election would have been over turned. You really swallow all the crazy conspiracy theories.
