It's known that the GOP is easily the least popular party in the country right now. It's known that they're having jssues attracting votes outside of their target demographic (older US born conservative Christian straight white people). It's known that any given scandal committed by a GOP politician is going affect the party much more deeply and for a much longer time than were the same scandal to have committed by a the GOP politician's Democrat colleague. It only just recently dawned on me why all this is. It's not that the "media" is biased against you. Your media is far more inflammatory than theirs could hope to be. It's not that the Democrats don't play fair. Neither of you do. The problem is that people - the American public as a whole - just do not like you, both for what you say and how you say it.
They don't like your focus on counterterrorism. It comes across as fake when that work prevents them from ever being targeted by terrorist attacks. They don't like your focus on wars overseas. They see that they're always in oil producing nations, which makes it all too easy for your opposition party and hostile foreign actors to make them seem to be about stealing oil rather than the actual problem of containing political Islam. They don't like how you're still going on about Russia being a danger to ourselves and our European allies decades after the Cold War. They for damn sure don't like your economic positions. The public may be stupid on the whole but they understand exactly what you mean when you talk about "balancing the government checkbook" and they want none of it. They want their healthcare. They want their education. No, it really doesn't matter to them if their grandkids have to pay for it. And they will not let you take any of their entitlements away from them.
It goes even deeper than this incomplete list though. They just inherently do not like your values or the lifestyle you want everyone to live. The world has moved on without you. This is the era of broken homes and abortion clinics next to middle schools and you're still stuck in a version of the 50s that never really existed.
You do realize Hillary's polls are sliding, right? Looks like some people don't like her because she is not transparent and has a condescending attitude. Not to mention the fact that she's a sleazy liar. But, hey, as long as she promises more freebies she'll have some support.
If the wars were fought for oil, we would have cheap oil. We don't.
Yup, abortion clinics next to middle schools and liberals want young pre-teen girls to have access to abortions and birth control, including ones surgically implanted, without parental consent. I guess the libs will be there when something goes wrong and a young girl dies during a botched abortion or has serious medical problems from birth control. Oh yea, you don't care about that. As long as you can tell parents that you don't like the way they live and take over their responsibility as parents behind their back, you'll do it without caring that you are imposing your beliefs on others and couldn't care less about the consequences of those actions. It's all about you and how you think things should work. You are intent on stripping people of their rights and telling them what to do in every circumstance. Freedom of choice, my ass.
You guys are the ones who tell Christians that they can't follow their faith and must change the way they live and do business to suit your beliefs. You have no problem imposing your will on others and telling them what to do. If they don't believe as you do, you don't think they deserve to make a living running their own business. That is a luxury reserved for people who think the way liberals do.
You guys are the ones who forced people to purchase insurance and those who had it ended up paying more just so a few people could get subsidized plans. Gee, we could have expanded Medicare and Medicaid and got the same results, but you wanted to impose your will on the people and force them against their will to buy what you think they should have.
Too many useful idiots will go along with anything just to be given things for free and are too stupid to realize that we are on an unsustainable course.
Of course, the left can usually count on votes from illegal aliens, and they do vote. Thanks to motor voter registration, licenses given to them by some states and no system in place to verify citizenship, there are enough illegals to alter the outcome of elections.
It's the left that is telling people how to live. While everyone is entitled to voice their opinions, liberals in government make laws to match their opinions. You guys have everyone feeling entitled to this or that just because they exist and you have no respect for the true entitlements, such as military pensions or social security that people actually spent years earning. Those things are always under threat of cuts or being stopped in the future, but welfare entitlements will never be threatened. To add to the free phones, the left wants to give away free internet. Of course, that will mean free computers. If the right is doomed, it's only because the number of idiots depending on nanny government will someday outnumber the people footing the bill. If the far left wins, the entire country loses.
I don't know if one world order is the endgame but we are headed there. Equal misery is in the future if the Republicans don't grow a set and take control.
