When will Republicans and conservatives finally admit that they don't give a damn about fiscal responsibility? The debt is rising at a faster rate under Trump than it did under Obama and was with the GOP controlling both houses of Congress during Trump's first two years. They still control the Senate and are no showing spending control whatsoever. Trump criticized Obama for his massive deficits and is now doubling down on them. With a roaring economy and low unemployment there is zero excuse for this

"But not a penny for stepped-up ICE immigration enforcement." WTF, is that the same ICE you loons want to eliminate?

Nothing will change until there is a balanced budget amendment.

I want to eliminate ICE? When did I say that?

Sigh, is this one of those times where you didn't say that?

What does that video have to do with me and why are you continuing to deflect from the primary subject of the thread?

Whining about "not a penny" for ICE was in your link. Did you read your link?

I did and after three of your responses I'm still wanting to know what that has to do with me?

The debt is so massive at this point, it will never be paid off, ever. The only way that debt will ever disappear is if we just wave the magic wand and erase it from the books.

So I don't know why we even talk about it anymore. Who cares how big it is? It'll never be "paid off," it's impossible.

Taz does this help?
The epic hypocrisy of the GOP on deficits and debt

Budget deal projects deficit and spending increase 01:57

(CNN)It's official: Conservatives only care about deficits when a Democrat is president.

Under Donald Trump the deficit is on a path to more than a trillion dollars per year and discretionary government spending is growing faster than it was under Barack Obama, when he was working to stimulate our way out of the Great Recession.
But what was angrily portrayed as generational theft and galloping socialism under President Obama is now accepted with all the outrage of a cow chewing its cud.
Everyone in Washington seems to suddenly accept the economic and political benefits of government spending, as the GOP hopes to keep the stock market goosed past Trump's reelection. While it's great that Washington appears to have avoided another truly stupid, self-inflicted government shutdown, Congress is whistling past the graveyard. That's because deficits are growing while the economy is booming — up 23% in the first nine months of the fiscal year alone. That's not supposed to happen. And there will be hell to pay when the remorseless math of rapidly falling tax revenue kicks in during the next downturn.

Wow, really? How did that Obama spending affect you? How has Trump spending affect you?

We should just blow off that Chinese-owned $1.17 trillion of U.S. debt and some of the other $6.26 trillion in debt held by some foreign countries.

Besides, we pulled their asses out of the fire so many times, they owe us a debt that could never be repaid.

Wait a minute, this is almost funny. The democrat majority in congress creates a massive spending bill and republicans get blamed because they "agree"? You gotta be kidding.

Nothing will change until there is a balanced budget amendment.

And there will not be a balanced budget amendment until the states join together under the Article V movement to force Congress to control their spending.

Either that or the Republic will go belly up.

Is there still a republican party? Nope, just the party of trump and he is more liberal than the liberals.

And who is going to sign it and smiling from ear to ear that it was passed?

Right. Because he's advocating for open borders, universal basic income and medicare for all (including for illegals), post-birth abortion, strict gun control, and heavy federal regulation. Yeah, he's way left of the Dem presidential candidates. Do you guys just say this stuff because it sounds good in your head, or do you actually try and think it through first?

Taz is not a Progressive Liberal... He is a Libertarian if I am correct and is fiscal Conservative like me that believe the government is wasting tax dollars through a bloated budget...
