We were paying 4.30 a gallon under Joe Bidumb because he declared war on oil fossil fuels. I'm good paying 4.30 a gallon for awhile to rid the world of the Iranian Regime.

We need to convert our refineries, difficult to do, to sweet crude. By the way, Iran is loaded like we are with sweet crude. China and the USA both use high sulfur crude, called dirty crude.

I do know this, if the price of gas/jet fuel gets too low, oil companies don't just keep refining the products...they cut back on production to keep the prices high and stay profitable. Anyone who grew up in Texas like I did knows how the oil patch works.

If the refinery that is supposedly being built is going to be owned by a private enterprise, they are going to do the same thing.

So, if they plan to turn a profit, they will refine oil and produce when it is profitable. To your point, yes, there will be more gasoline and jet fuel on the market. So the price will go down. However if the price gets too low, they simply cut back on production to keep the profit at a certain level.

I pumped gas for .20 c per gallon. I paid 10c per gallon in Germany at the Army base. No taxes were then added to gasoline in Germany to soldiers.

The difference is, of course, that closing oil companies (if that is what he promised) would be a bad thing so I'm happy that he was blowing smoke. Your blob's promises were things we're all hopeful for so when the healthcare pan didn't materialize, when the peace plan failed, when he went back on his "no new wars" promise, when "draining the swamp" somehow meant firing park rangers and meat inspectors, when his appointees were all insipid political supporters who couldn't last (or shouldn't last) 2 years...it has been damaging. We saw that in Minneapolis. Keep in mind, alot of these were beneficial promises that were never even brought up again after the promise was made. This doesn't count the frankly stupid things he promised that were implemented--like the tariffs--which had to be slapped down by the courts

For the good of Iran, the Middle East, and the United States, we have told these Countries that we will guide their Ships safely out of these restricted Waterways, so that they can freely and ably get on with their business. Again, these are Ships from areas of the World that are not in any way involved with that which is currently taking place in the Middle East. I have told my Representatives to inform them that we will use best efforts to get their Ships and Crews safely out of the Strait. In all cases, they said they will not be returning until the area becomes safe for navigation, and everything else. This process, Project Freedom, will begin Monday morning, Middle East time. I am fully aware that my Representatives are having very positive discussions with the Country of Iran, and that these discussions could lead to something very positive for all. The Ship movement is merely meant to free up people, companies, and Countries that have done absolutely nothing wrong — They are victims of circumstance. This is a Humanitarian gesture on behalf of the United States, Middle Eastern Countries but, in particular, the Country of Iran. Many of these Ships are running low on food, and everything else necessary for largescale crews to stay on board in a healthy and sanitary manner. I think it would go a long way in showing Goodwill on behalf of all of those who have been fighting so strenuously over the last number of months. If, in any way, this Humanitarian process is interfered with, that interference will, unfortunately, have to be dealt with forcefully. Thank you for your attention to this matter!
