It can now. It just may or may not be noted on the ID. Thats up to the state to put on the physical card.

When you reach the point when you characterize measures taken to protect the public's health, as clumsy as some of them were, as fascism, it's a tell that you've lost any pretense to credibility you may have had.
I do not know if that was hidden in other legislation. Politicians though do delay some of their decisions as to not take the rancor that comes from it when and if it gets there. Little by little unalienable rights are taken away. They find most people involved when something happens today that is an event. That is why the Russia hoax, and assassination attempts on Trump are jokes as examples. They know. They may be involved.

Real ID is already most-of-the-way there... might as well stop pu$$y-footing around and let IT serve for that purpose...
Given the times ( fighting off an invasion of Illegals, embedded bad actors, stolen jobs, etc., well... it's worth a closer look.

If that's the case, then, the Feds can alter the Real ID specs so that new-issue or renewed cards have that data on the card...

No. A driver's license only connects to a state database. When a cop runs it he can only see your moving violations in the state, unless you are a criminal and have outstanding warrants. A "Real ID" connects to a national INTERPOL-like database, for everyone. Once Stargate is finished AI will be able to track your every movement, when biometrics is rolled in as another "security" measure.

A valid present ID is sufficient. If you want to stop fraud, prosecute Biden for deliberately bring in illegals and giving them social security numbers like DOGE has uncovered. Don't attack the freedoms and privacy of law abiding citizens.
It's the only way to stop the stolen elections!!!
