Rep Chip Roy (R-Texas): "over my dead body will you draft my daughter"

That long winded Texas Congress guy .........listened long enough.
Regarding females fighting wars,
Consider that the female of the species is the most deadly.

Ancient Ireland tried female warriors, and discovered that they were too vicious and deadly, and therefore stopped using female warriors.

They don't draft 18 year olds anymore. IIRC currently planning to to draft 20 year olds if necessary but going beyond that would never be necessary.
The bill says 18-25. All my children are older than that.

My granddaughter would fall in that category in about 7 more years. Both her parents are Army veterans. Why can't she serve like her parents did?

Most of the male shooters I've spoken to about it say women are far better shooters.

It was unnecessary. If the world hadn't decided to "punish" Germany for years after WWI, Hitler never comes into power.
The victorious allies did decide to punish the germans for WWI

So try again.

The world in 1939 was what it was

Imperfect but impossible for pacifists to ignore

Um...that's what he said. Reading is fundamental.
I was asking @plnopp if WWII from the US perspective was necessary

And he/she/it dodged the question by turning back the clock from the reality of 1939 to a What If following WWI

And he is correct. BTW...most historians agree that WWII is just a con-tinuation of WWI with a 20 year lull.

And thats thats the pacifists/isolationists answer to Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan in 1939?

Turn the clock back to 1919 and have another swing at it?

Try again? You agree with me as to what the problem was. It was avoidable.

Maybe, if the allies had a time machine in 1939 and could have turned back the clock to 1919

But they didnt, did they?
