Remakes of John Wayne films

One of the local channels has been showing the remake of Stagecoach with Bing Crosby and Ann Margaret.

Its ok and its all in colour and so on but you just start thinking about the original which is light years away in terms of quality.

I saw the True Grit remake which I thought was ok.

And there is a made for TV version of Red River which was a pointless exercise.

I think that it must be a difficult job making a John Wayne film without the man himself.

Have any others been remade ?
