Redskins Safety Sean Taylor In Coma Following Shooting

Sean Taylor lost his life on the morning of November 27th from a gun shot wound to the leg on Monday evening. Friends, family and co-workers were given hope when doctors said he clasped the hand of a nurse bed side. Perhaps as one put it, "this was his way of saying good-bye". He was in his fourth year as a safety for the Washington Redskins and was tied as NFC leader in interceptions. He was clearly on his way to a second consecutive pro bowl appearance.

In the press conference following the announcement of Taylors death, Gibbs spoke fondly and sincerely of him. Saying that 'the birth of his daughter (18 months old) caused a significant change in him'. Gibbs also said that he 'attended chapel services regularly'. This draws a stark contrast to the Sean Taylor people thought they "knew". The link below contains more of said press conference.

Sean Taylor was just 24 years old.
