Red Dead Redemption 2.

I did some refreshing on the plot to RDR1 - Marston was tapped by Pinkertons to hunt down Bill Williamson and Javier. So, they found his ranch and coerced him to do their bidding. Makes sense now.

Just finished up the second epilogue. The credits rolled. I assume it's over. But ....

Near the end of the credits (which took over thirty minutes!) they intersperse little black and white cut scenes. And the last one is a couple of Pinkertons with binoculars eyeballing Marston's ranch. :(

And then, it looks like you can play on from there. Not sure what to expect. I know RDR2 was supposed to be a prequel to RDR1, but I don't remember the plot of the first one well.

Anyway - truly amazing game and story. Thanks for prodding me!

You welcome. For those who can get into details, good stories and enjoy the freedom like this game offers, it truly is amazing.

You'll enjoy playthrough #2 even more. #2 was exceptionally better than my 1st. Because I didn't make as many controller mistakes. Like punching my horse when I wanted to feed it. Things like that. I could focus more on dialog and what's going on around me.
My first time playing, I stood beside my horse for like 5 minutes, trying to find that shotty that Javier gave me. It was in the wheel, but I didn't know how to flip through items. Also PT #2, I found a lot of things that I missed. A LOT. Dino bones, dream catchers, unique weapons etc etc

RDR1 really does finish the story. The Pinkertons still want Dutch and the gang members. It's very "video gamey." And the graphics & mechanics aren't near what RDR2. But it's still a great story. And in some aspects, it's kind of better than RDR2.

Hey Black. Check this out.

Holy smokes. Last night was just outside of Wallace Station. I know this is grizzly country. But I'm very close to the train station, and I'd just offed a bunch of O'Driscolls. After looting their camp & the bodies, and taking them just outside of camp, I hear a grizzly bear. So I look around and don't see anything. So I get in the tent and go to sleep.
When I wake up the next morning, before I even get out of the tent, I hear that bear running towards me. I guess I pushed the wrong button and ended up crawling out of the tent only to see that beast charging right at me.
I didn't know what to do. I didn't have time to draw my weapon. At first I tried to get back into the tent, but that didn't work. By now, it's too late. That sucker was on me like white on rice.
The only thing that saved me was the option to stab it with my knife showed up. I plunged it deep into it's neck a few times. Then I had a small window to draw my shotgun and blast it a couple of rounds.

I'm glad I went to bed with the shotty on my back. I usually put all my long weapons on the saddle before bed. But from the commotion caused by the gun fight with the O'Driscolls, the horse had ran off a short distance, so I didn't bother calling him up just to put away them away.

And here's the thing. After 9 playthroughs, I've never been attacked by a predator while I was in camp. Much less just after waking up in my tent.
There's always something new, every time I play it.

What in the world did you do to offend that bear??

As soon as I turn this corner, I'm gonna open it up and see how fast the horse can run.

Note to self. Don't ever accidently punch a horse.

Hey black. Did you save or kill Jimmy Brooks? What ever you chose to do, the "strange man" left you a note in his cabin in the swamps.

Also check out the mirror.

I know nothing about that. Thinking about starting another playthough. Or trying out online.

I tried online. But there's a lot of griefers. (high ranking experts who will just shoot you for no reason, over and over and over) I'll pick it back up when GTA6 drops. All those griefers will be playing that.

Not going to give you any spoilers about the cabin. Just stop by a few times throughout the game.

Hey black, how much % wise did you complete?

Those O'Driscoll's are at it again.

Ever hear Arthur singing a song while riding slow on his horse. It's a chopped up version of this song, "Cole Younger."

I'm at 95.3% completion on this playthrough. I think I just have a few challenges to finish up, some gang hide outs to find (skinner brothers).

Some of these gambler challenges are tough. I'm on gambler 3 now. "Beat the dealer at blackjack, after drawing 3 cards.
