Red Cross Sitting on a Third of Sandy Donations

I'm not making any judgments here but it isn't hard to find out that that the Red Cross has about 318 employees including 14 managers at 86k, and 10 directors at 85k,

Is that supposed to be rich or something? I thought $250K wasn't rich!!! :eusa_eh:

After Katrina, those of us who were refuges who were camping all over the country, after having been virtually wiped out, looked to FEMA, the State of Louisiana, the parish that we lived in, and the national guard, for help. The only people who were there to help was the Red Cross, who saw to it that we had gas money, food, water, clothes, and medicines. They were the first responders and they were there fast. Eventually, the national guard started handing out Meals Ready to Eat and water. FEMA came by my house exactly 5 months to the day, after the storm, to ask me if I wanted a trailer.

What the Red Cross did for us was awesome, and I will never forget it. They now get 100% of all charity that I give.

A while back when I was renting an apartment and didn't have much extra cash, they were there to give me a room for a couple of nights when the place burned and I needed a little time to sort things out.
