I am concerned that the Left Wing in this country is trying to fundamentally change the way the US has operated for the last 250 years. How can we let them pursue their utopian dreams without destroying what the rest of us cherish?

It used to be that the concept of sovereign states would address this problem. But the growth of an all-powerful federal government has reduced this to little more than window dressing. Now, control of the Executive Branch can result in control of most aspects of our personal lives.

Many will say that this applies to the current Administration, and they may have valid points. But the larger question is why either side should have the power to enforce their will on the other. Since state boundaries have become little more than arbitrary lines on a map, it seems that more definitive distinctions need to be made.

Perhaps our original Articles of Confederation need to be reconsidered?
