As an immigrant I have insights that most of you do not have and one is that by and large the population of the United States is bereft of any knowledge of the outside world. Almost every view expressed about countries and peoples outside the USA is just a parroting of the media be it left or right they are the same when it comes to what they report about the outside world only domestic news is covered differently.

The harsh fact is that there is a boat load of history about other nations that you are unaware of, Trump might be exciting to some but to many - especially those outside the US - he's just another dictatorial politician and we have centuries of examples of such men and where they led their nations, he's unremarkable and talentless and far from original except here in the USA where most people are unaware there is a world outside.

Comparisons with Adolf Hitler for example are pertinent, but the MAGA devotees react hysterically to that, despite the fact there are genuine parallels and hence genuine concerns. The basis for the comparison is the personalities and psyches of the two men, not so much their political agendas.

But back to the OP as he said nobody has refuted a single one of the failure cases listed in the OP.
