Contrary to known reality. Democrats controlled the House so they had to have dialog, find consensus, and make compromises to do anything. Like it should be. I'm pretty sure most of them liked him but disagreed with him. I thought he had a great sense of humor.

It helps to research corruption in the federal government going back to the first administration. For example, just researching the debate over central banks is illuminating. The bankers lobby was the strongest lobby for a long time and they decided how the country would be run. That's just one lobby. People have no idea how many strong lobbies there are today and all control DC politics, not the people. The New World Order, globalization, all of this is tied to very powerful lobbies who really run the government. They are the foundation of the political establishment that both parties belong to and serve. If Trump was fully sincere he would be the first POTUS in a long time to say we have to drive Big Money out of DC. Of course, he would be shot within 24 hours. I think Trump is trying to do his best, but he has to walk a very thin and dangerous line.

Indeed, he's playing with the same fire that both Kennedys played with. Threatening to clean up organized crime, etc..its all intimately tied into government and politics. Many MANY insiders don't want it cleaned up. And while some will simply quit while they're ahead, many more will conspire to take such "do-gooders" out, whether it be only via paid mainstream media...or actually putting them 6 feet under. The thing is, the more dramatic they are in retaliation and the more often they actually do retaliate, they leave more and more fingerprints and footprints in the dirt, and the public begins to slowly figure out what's really going on. That's what happened during Trump's first term. They came out of the woodwork to go after him. Many of the them.are still at it and are too desperate to worry about covering their tracks.

Carter wanted to decimalize pot, he wanted American energy independence, and wanted Americans to conserve energy to get us off foreign oil dependence. The National press hated Carter policies. So did big business. Especially the Oil Patch. He was a man ahead of his times and he was politically crucified for it.

As president, you cant be ahead of your times. Energy independence? Ha, ha, if Carter tried to do that he was a fool. Carter gave us the energy crisis due to bad foreign policy. Carter did nothing but get our ambassador murdered in Afghanistan, we see how that worked out.

I liked Jimmy Carter's handling of the economy far better than Reagan's. I credit Carter for taming the decade long runaway inflation by nominating Paul Volcker as Federal Reserve chairman whose tight money policy turned the tide. I never cared for Reagan's handling of the federal deficit. The government came to it senses on that matter under Bill Clinton with George HW Bush's great help that pushed through a Democrat controlled congress the Federal Deficit Reduction act of 1993.

All our 21st century presidents have been asleep at the wheel.

Yes, Carter was terrible with terrible policies. Carter led the decline of America. Certainly when we look back to determine the beginning of the end of the democrat party, it will start with Carter

Here we go again. Jimmy Carter was atotal disaster in the economy and foreign policy. Thats why he was destroyed in a 1 term landslide. Reagan came in and by applying conservative policies reversed Carters failure on the economy the Iran hostage crisis, stagflation, and the largest S&L bank failure in history. Reagan freed the hostages cut taxes and many deductions for the rich with TEFRA, brought down the USSR, rebuilt the military and crated 10 years of GDP growth.

Today we had 4 years of cognitively impaired Biden who failed at every level of government even worse that Carter. Wars broke out, inflation hit a 40 year high, gas doubled, crime exploded, the open border brought in criminals and diseases we have an increase in TB now, lawfare, Trump Russia collusion fraud, the auto pen scandal, waste fraud and theft in the government at historic levels, and BIden family addicts degenerates tax evaders and money launderers.

Trump wins and in 8 months, the border is closed, illegal criminals are being deported by the million, crime is down in Wash DC, we are fighting the drug war with success, wages are up taxes cut, government pull back out of our personal lives, we have workable energy policies, stable inflation, increased manufacturing, and president who can speak coherently who wont fat in the faces of British royalty and fall down. There is also no cocaine in the White House.

I was attempting to sell a house in the early 80s and due to the Carter economy, was unable to for four more years. The first attempt produced one offer, contingent on the buyer being able to obtain an 18% loan. He was unable and the house didn't sell until I put it back on the market four years later. Democrats are a disaster for the country.
