How invigorating to argue, debate, battle the other side any issue. Kudos to USMB.

Of course there is always a fly in the ointmentā€¦..in this case it is the posters exhibiting intellectual and/or psychological difficulties that prevent them from taking a sideā€¦.but doesnā€™t prevent them from posting. Thatā€™s the ones who claim to see both sides as the same.

Hereā€™s one now:

ā€œOnly a simpleton votes for either of the duopoly as they are fundamentally the same. ā€œ Itā€™s Trumps Election to Lose Now

Bet you've seen cable opinion shows where they encourage call-ins, and they have three categories: agree, disagree, donā€™t know.
What sort of moron calls in to say they have no opinion?????
Yet that is the sort of moron we find sitting on the fence, claiming what is clearly and evidently false.

Thatā€™s what Reagan was getting at, here:

In 1975, Ronald Reagan set out his intention: ā€œOur people look for a cause to believe in. Is it a third party we need, or is it a new and revitalized second party, raising a banner of no pale pastels, but bold colors which make it unmistakably clear where we stand on all of the issues troubling the people?ā€

ā€œā€¦no pale pastels, but bold colorsā€¦ā€

No obfuscation, no pretense to ease our relationships with the other side: make clear what one stands for, express it, explain it, defend it.
Be brave.

Or, be a moron and post like this:
ā€œOnly a simpleton votes for either of the duopoly as they are fundamentally the same. ā€œ
State which view you ascribe to, and explain or defend it. If you can.

Conservatives are able to say what they stand for, and explain why, and defend their ideas. Liberals, Leftists, Democrats, canā€™t defend their agenda, and, are forced to use lies to substitute facts and logic. They have been trained to simply obey their masters either to fulfill the need to ā€˜belong,ā€™ or simply out of cowardice. Hence, in debate conservatives eat Liberalsā€™ lunchā€¦.perhaps thatā€™s why the Left needs to resort to violence.

But at least they donā€™t run from the fight via ā€œboth sides are the same.ā€

Actually, I have no opinion one way or the other on why they would do that.

As Reagan said, express yourself in ā€™bold colors.ā€™ Be brave.

Cut from a similar cloth, Ann Coulter put it this way: ā€œThe mob mentality is irresistible to people with a desperate need to be popular, and are perennially afraid of getting a bloody nose on the playground of life. A tell-tale sign is the use of terms like ā€œusā€ and ā€œweā€ when they write, or speakā€¦as these pronouns speak of popularity, of membership in the larger groupā€¦i.e. the mob.ā€

OKā€¦.itā€™s fun to dispute those folks, Liberals, even if the outcome of the debate is a foregone conclusion. But the dolts who choose to pretend that sitting on the fence is true or logicalā€¦.simply annoying and not at all productive.

ā€¦ be a Liberal, a Democrat, and you donā€™t have to face those vituperative, angry, violent Liberals.

Orā€¦.if youā€™re afraid of both sidesā€¦..post like a fence-sitter:
ā€œOnly a simpleton votes for either of the duopoly as they are fundamentally the same. ā€œ
Itā€™s Trumps Election to Lose Now

Know who else sees these ā€˜both sides are the sameā€™ dopes as worthy of severe punishment? Dante Alighieri, the man who created the Italian language, and the great works like ā€˜The Divine Comedyā€™ā€¦ā€considered to be the preeminent work in Italian literature[1] and one of the greatest works of world literature.ā€

See what he said about these equivocatorsā€¦.next.

Equivocate: to use ambiguous or unclear expressions, usually to avoid commitment or in order to mislead; prevaricate or hedge Google

Orā€¦ā€™yellow bellied loser.ā€™

Now those most insipid of posters, the ā€˜both sides are the sameā€™ dolts. Time to put ā€˜em in their place. Guess hat Dante says that ā€˜placeā€™ is.

These folks pretend they are above the fray, too noble to be one side or the other. In fact, they are both too lazy to be informed, and too cowardly to take a side and try to defend it.

Both sides the same? Not on the important topics of the sanctity of human life, or of private property, or individual rights vs the collective. And what do these equivalency gnomes deserve? That brings us to Dante Alighieri.

In The Inferno, Dante puts the equivocators right where they belong: at the mouth of Hell.

ā€œThey reach a gate in the evening (which famously warns "Lasciate ogne speranza, voi ch'intrate" = "... Abandon all hope, you who enter here")ā€”it marks the entry into "the city of woe". Outside the gate, Fore-Hell is populated with Neutrals and Waverers who would not commit to God and are condemned to spend their afterlife futilely chasing a meaningless banner.ā€ Dante Inferno Summary

ā€œThis idea of a marginal place--inside the gate of hell but before the river Acheron--for souls neither good enough for heaven nor evil enough for hell proper is a product of Dante's imagination, pure and simple. Possible theological justification for Dante's invention may be found in Apocalypse (Revelation) 3:16: "But because thou art lukewarm and neither cold nor hot, I will begin to vomit thee out of my mouth." Included among these cowardly souls--also known as fence-sitters, wafflers, opportunists, and neutrals--are the angels who refused to choose between God and Lucifer. What does this original idea say about Dante's view of human behavior and its relation to the afterlife? What might Dante's conception of this region imply about hell proper and its eternal inhabitants?ā€ Dante's Inferno - Gate of Hell - Canto 3

Fence-sitter???? Couldnā€™t have said it better myself.
