Four months ago Obama's approval was approximately 6.5 points higher and his dissaproval 7.5 points lower.

His current RCP poll average numbers reflect a shift of approximately 14 points against Obama in just four months.

Yes, you are right about ronnie raygun's ratings.
But at the same time the other guy who says the polls are on a downward trend is right as well.

Do we really need these polls EVER SINGLE DAY?

I think that's a more valid question.

I remember an old calvin and hobbes series where calvin was using his "polls" to show disapproval for for his father after being punished. he was saying things like "100% of the poll shows disapproval for the harsh treatment of children" and other silly stuff.

Do you think these daily polls are just as silly as that, because I do.
As I stated before, I am hopeful for us, the people. I can easily see that President Obama has the potential to be a great leader.
I think he is trying to be all things to all people right now, and nobody is really all that pleased.

Even if i disagreed with what he was doing, I would have a lot of respect for him if he would clearly make a stand, and stick by it.

There is still plenty of time in the current term for President Obama to be a great leader. I know he CAN do it, and for our sake, I hope he does.
