Rapist who was recently released from prison will return for sexually assaulting another woman - Full story
"A rapist was sentenced to 20 to life Thursday for sexually assaulting a woman at a Kips Bay bar in April 2015.

Rodney Stover, 49, pleaded guilty on Sept. 21 to the crime that took place at the Turnmill, a bar on E. 27th St., just months after he was released from prison for raping a woman in Long Island and attacking another in Pennsylvania."

Just curious. If you commit the same crime once you are released, is the punishment much harsher/worse than before or is it still the same?

They can't give the rapist long sentences, because prisons are overcrowded, I think. Also, every woman can read the sex offender registries, but they contain many children too that imitate their offender relatives, so it is useless. Would be interesting to know what is in the mind of the rape victim, expecting defense from a system that is surreal at best?

Lots of rapists do get long sentences, even life

Obviously, out of honor for our sisters, we men have to take steps to control this kind of thing.

This is not fair though. A research into the minds of rape victims would show, that the only way a rape victim can move past her rape stage is if she kills the rapist. A sentence in prison prohibits closure then. By the way, it may be true that real closures never happen in life for anything, rape or other.
