Ranking House Democrat says they KNOW their shutdown is causing suffering, but they want the "leverage"

Stupid Republicans need to change the senate rules for CRs and appropriations bills to need only 51 votes.

Even if dems end the shutdown the Republicans will never pass an appropriations bill if they need 60 votes.

That's fine, but let them do that after the Dems end this current temper tantrum. The voters who pull that straight Dem ticket because they are dependent on forced taxpayer largesse need to understand where their party puts them in the pecking order compared to illegal aliens.

The shutdown dont hurt anyone, nobody. My life has not changed one bit.

We are dictated to believe that somewhere in the hills of tennessee there is a child who could not get his life saving Tylenol cause it was only a democrat bureaucrat of a democrat congress that keeps the child alive.

In writing all that I have an epiphany. If a child's life depends on everyone voting democrat, than there must be a huge problem.

Us MAGA people like to take care of ourselves that way we dont die when democrats decide they want to work less and shutdown the government

Come November 1st it gets real when Snap and EBT dries up

Leverage?.....They have no leverage. Is that really how the vile dem's pea-sized brains work?

It's all on the vile dems and everyone (that even bothers to pay attention to the .gov being shutdown) knows it.

Their whole damn plan backfired and they have done run themselves into a hole!.....It's a turkey shoot!

15th post
Not really. If a parent can get their child diagnosed as disabled, then they get the child's SSI check.

For about the 100th time I have posted SSI is NOT disability!

That happens once in a blue moon unless the child is never going to be able to work.

I am on SS disability retirement right now. I don't get SSI because my SS check is high enough.

Are you high?

"Benefits For Children With Disabilities

Introduction

This booklet is for parents, caregivers,
and representatives of children younger
than age 18 who have disabilities
that may make them eligible for
Supplemental Security Income (SSI)

payments. It is also for adults with
disabilities since childhood (prior to
age 22) who might be entitled to Social
Security Disability Insurance (SSDI)
benefits. We call this SSDI benefit a
“child’s” benefit because it’s paid on a
parent’s Social Security earnings record.
This booklet will help you decide if you,
your child, or a child you know may be
eligible for SSI or SSDI."
