Well, there's always name callers on both sides....can you point out where I personally said such things?Isn't this the guy the GOP was all in for in 2008?
Yep, and the one your side called "nuts", "lunatic", "warmonger", and I believe the word "traitor" was tossed in for good measure...but when he trashes Trump, he's the cat's pajamas.![]()
The stupid part of claiming Rand Paul was the guy the GOP was all in for in 2008. Although the republicans nominating McCain was pretty dumb but not as dumb as picking his running mate.
McCain whipped everybody else in the primaries and Palin was a terrific choice for VP....the problem was McCain's advisors didn't use her properly and then undermined her when she went rogue.
----------------------------------- not at all , mckain is scum , in 2008 if i recall correct i voted for 'harry brown' rather than mckain Bodecea .Isn't this the guy the GOP was all in for in 2008?
The last outsider, Reagan, managed things pretty well. No wars.Spot On, Rand. McCain's a bitter old nutter.
Sen. Rand Paul (Ky.) ripped fellow Republican Sen. John McCain (Ariz.) on Sunday after McCain criticized President Trump’s escalating war of words with the media.
He argued that the nation is “very lucky” that Trump is president and not McCain, who won the 2008 GOP nomination but lost to Barack Obama in the general election.
Paul said that McCain’s recent criticisms of Trump are driven by his “personal dispute” with the president over foreign policy.
He added that McCain and Trump are at odds because McCain supports the wide deployment of U.S. troops to protect and promote American interests abroad while he characterized Trump’s views as closer to a realpolitik approach to foreign policy.
“Everything that he says about the president is colored by his own personal dispute he’s got running with President Trump, and it should be taken with a grain of salt, because John McCain’s the guy who’s advocated for war everywhere,” Paul said on ABC’s “This Week.”...

McCain has advocated for war everywhere. Rand Paul is the only one that takes these clowns to task.
There has pretty much been no one on "either" side of the isle who has consistently objected to the irrational and preemtive use of the military as an instrument of empire.

Rand's father Ron Paul was pretty consistent on that subject and if I'm not mistaken so was Dennis Kucinich, beyond that nobody else having held a federal elected office with a long enough record to accurately determine the question of consistency comes to mind; the rest are/have been either part-time or full time War Hawks.Spot On, Rand. McCain's a bitter old nutter.

.
Yup.
The Republicans nominating McCain was almost as stupid as the Democrats nominating Hillary.
Nope.
'Nope' to which part of stupid?

I read Bodecea's post as referring to McCain.
