Rand Paul doubles down on big, beautiful bill criticism after Trump slam

You bring up an excellent point. Future generations are SCREWED! I got my wealth and retirement locked in before the crash. Future generations will be SLAVES to our debt, our partying beyond our means with insane borrowing and spending for generations.

And few are demanding it stop.

Still waiting for do nothing Rand to offer some alternative. All that guy does is grandstand and accomplish jack shit.
Yeah, he's certainly not offering any alternatives in his recent interviews. While I don't disagree with his points about too much spending, they become just whining without any alternatives offered. He's really dodging when directly asked about his alternatives!

What's not wise is supporting Trump over fiscal conservatives. They've been trying to do what Trump promised to do, for decades. Thomas Massie has introduced a bill that would abolish the Dept. of Ed. no less than 4 times now. One of them was when Trump was in office. At about the same time, Trump was calling for Massie to be primaried.

In March, the CR that Trump signed, fully funded the Dept. of Ed. Two weeks later he comes out and says it needs to be abolished. If it need to be abolished, why sign a bill that fully funds it?

Trump is a con artist. A genius at smoke and mirrors. He's taking the party so far left of center. And if anyone like Paul objects, the Trump cancel culture goes on the attack. Just like they're doing Elon now.

Some BS. If the speaker wont table the bill, Trump can do little as you should know. He put in 100s’ of cuts, shutdowns p, firings, reductions etc. either courts shut it down or Dirty Congress does not act on it. On Vacation 250 days per year.

Yet you people Chirp…Trump Trump Trump! He did not lauch FLU, deep state did. He did not tell everyone not to work, congress sent out $3T in funds to shutdown the economy. Yet you Chirp. Nothing is easy when you are fighting the parasitic class in place.

When Trump was campaigning, he said he wanted smaller, more transparent bills. After the election, his true blue colors started showing by wanting massive bills.

If thats all he can get out of the House? Should he refuse it? Shut the GOVT down for six months? Until mid-terms? Get new Congress? You Chirp, but it’s never easy it seems.

The only hope I have left is that Republican voters wake up and see how important fiscal conservatism is. And how to spot frauds like Mike Johnson and Trump.

It'll happen one way or another.

The hard way: Leaning the benefits of FC and replacing the RINO's with FC's. Forcing all the necessary cuts and eliminating 70% of government.

The extremely hard way: The dollar crashes, BRIC comes up with a global reserve currency and our economy crashes harder than Russia's in 1990/1991.

If they don’t at least make DOGE findings permanent, get past the Courts blocking cuts, closures, layoffs, freezez etc. by OCT then maybe it’s as you say, hopeless? Then what? Vote for Sanders & AOC the genius?

A court yesterday ruled Trump had to keep funding intact for tranny conversions! In Prison? HS? WTH!

The DOGE findings are barely a drop in the bucket.

I remember when my father had to go into a nursing home
Medicaid paid a bunch of it. Are we cutting its use for nursing homes? That would be wrong in every possible way you look at it.

Tough questions? Why do those who saved have to pay their own bills 100%? Why is it on taxpayers to pay for stuff like this where fraud is always found off the charts decades later?

SHUP phony loon. Any topic anytime anywhere you rush in ASAP to back expansion of GOVT spending into Stain insanity. The only thing you want to cut is defund the Police. You want to pay $100 million to Fentynal Floyd. You’re OK with lockup & torture of innocent J6 & Police doing their job everytime. Just SHUP.

Condemning me for what you are doing. Nice.

Shut it down.

There is no time to “shut it down” and repair the damage your people have caused over 12 yrs since 2009. Mid trems and election fraud are coming also. Courts are stalling progress. You have no idea what is really going on up there? Maybe a battle over something as silly as the Epstein people or charging the auto-pen fraudsters. Just SHUP you back bench kibitzing phony sack of crap.

4 of those years was Trumps

Rand is only doing what Trump promised to do.
We didn't get into this debt overnight and we can't get out of it overnight either... the dems and some republicans have spent decades getting us into this much of a hole... if Trump loses his house majority none of what Rand wants will be enacted... This is something Rand Paul just refuses to see... his hard line stance has caused the GOP to lose seats many times before...
Rand gets votes from his libertarian base by fighting with republicans... its all calculated on his part....

I will use the Reagan tax cuts in 1981 as an example

Even with a rocky economy tax revenue went up year by year

The Reagan tax cuts of 1981, formally known as the Economic Recovery Tax Act, significantly reduced federal income tax rates, lowering the highest rate from 70% to 50% and the lowest from 14% to 11%. These cuts aimed to stimulate economic growth but also contributed to increased federal budget deficits and a shift in tax policy favoring wealthier individuals and corporations.

Increased federal budget deficits
lead to a variety of negative outcomes, including rising national debt, potentially higher interest rates, and reduced economic growth. They can also make it harder for the government to respond to economic crises and may require future tax increases or spending cuts.

Raise taxes and cut spending

Raise taxes and cut spending
I am not arguing for federal deficits

But raising taxes is not the solution

That depresses economic activity which leads to lower tax revenue
