IM2, I appreciate your tenacity and don't deny any of the sources you mention or their findings. I do note, however, that I see nothing even remotely supporting the notion that "Blacks are stopped at [any multiple] times what whites experience."
Your personal opinion directly conflicts with what you just said you don't deny. Example from IM2's "sources" and "findings":
According to the Justice Department, between 2012 and 2014, black people in Ferguson, Mo., accounted for 85 percent of vehicle stops, 90 percent of citations and 93 percent of arrests, despite comprising 67 percent of the population. Blacks were more than twice as likely as whites to be searched after traffic stops, even though they proved to be 26 percent less likely to be in possession of illegal drugs or weapons. Between 2011 and 2013, blacks also received 95 percent of jaywalking tickets and 94 percent of tickets for “failure to comply.” The Justice Department also found that the racial discrepancy for speeding tickets increased dramatically when researchers looked at tickets based on only an officer’s word vs. tickets based on objective evidence, such as vs. radar. Black people facing similar low-level charges as white people were 68 percent less likely to see those charges dismissed in court. More than 90 percent of the arrest warrants stemming from failure to pay/failure to appear were issued for black people.

There were NOT a high percentage of black Americans being targeted in the North where I lived. PRIOR to LBJ's Great Society Program, which created black gangs, ruined schools, destroying family structure.

Imagine two populations being examined to ascertain how they are treated by police while they are behind the wheels of their cars.

One population tends to do most of its driving in URBAN areas, and one tends to do most of its driving in suburban/rural areas and on highways.

Urban areas, one should know, have more stop lights, more stop signs, more one-way streets, more unrealistically low speed limits (school zones, hospital zones, playground areas, etc.), and generally are patrolled more conspicuously than are suburban and rural areas.

Which population would you expect to have more traffic interactions with police and more traffic citations? The Urban drivers or the Suburban/rural drivers?

I dont know what the figures are like in the land of the free but over here black folk are more likely to be stopped by the police than white folks.
So it would naturally follow that blacks get charged with more crimes than white folks.

Tends to call in to question the value of the stats on this.

All you need to look at is crime rates amongst specific racial demographics to see why they get "racially profiled".

When 6% of the population (young black males) commits around 50% of the violent crimes in the country and a police officer is 18 times more likely to be shot by a black male than an unarmed black male is to be shot by a police officer...That might help explain your incorrect notion of "racial profiling" bias.

None of what you say here is correct. First off whites commit 60 percent of the violent crime and there is not 6 percent of any population that are committing violent crimes. Approximately 3 percent of the American population was arrested according to the last UCR. You guys are intellectually lazy and that's the problem with your argument. Just over 10 million people make up the criminal population based on numbers of arrests. Counting entire populations and using percentage is rather misleading. 2600 blacks were murdered out of a population of 47.8 million. Approximately 2,400 were killed by another black. If a different black person committed each murder that less than .0000005 of 1 percent of the black population an even a smaller part of the overall population and nowhere closes to 6 percent. So whites like you and many police officers have to become more thorough in your assessments.
