Question for liberals and Democrats about the Trump rally at Madison Square Garden

I know others have already made this observation, but …

That rancid old twat really does look like Soros.

Note to trump. If you don't want yourself or your supporters to be compared to Nazis stop using the language of Nazis.

Echos of 1939 at Trump rally

Speakers at both rallies raised alarm about immigration, Marxism and shady enemies within the U.S.

  • Both events were immediately controversial, drawing protests outside the arena and condemnation from some in the press, along with sympathetic coverage from others in the media on ideological or free speech grounds.
  • The remark that drew the most immediate backlash on Sunday was Comedian Tony Hinchcliffe's joke that Puerto Rico was "a floating island of garbage." Hinchcliffe also said Latinos made a lot of babies.
  • Trump's rally featured speakers who had previously made racist and antisemitic remarks. Those include Trump himself, who has referred to immigrants as "poisoning the blood" of the nation, echoing Adolf Hitler.
The intrigue: Speakers at the Trump rally demanded a return to an earlier era of the U.S., but did not explicitly note that it had largely been controlled by white Americans.

Defining the Enemy

During Rachel Maddow's most recent show she showed a clip of Sid Rosenberg at trump's rally berating immigrants followed by a recording of part of a speech from the 1939 Nazi rally. The language was almost identical.
Yeah. The Nazis asked for a return of the U.S. to older values. 🙄

And drawing immediate protests means that they are the same. 🙄

One comedian does not establish any similarity between any two rallies.

All in all; one credit for bug for at least trying to answer. But many demerits for being such a laughable puss.

This question goes to our liberals and Democrats.

Please keep your answers concise. Brevity helps. Nobody wants to read a wall o’ words.

Question: for all the many complaints and claims and accusations I’ve read about Trump’s rally at MSG to the effect that it was somehow akin to a Hitler rally from Nazi Germany, I’d like to know the actual basis for that comparison.

I saw several such complaints and warnings even before the rally. But, factually, what (if anything) supports it?
Trump gives off a strong Hitler vibe. You watched it, you heard the speeches. He's hitlerish. Not exactly Hitler, more like Shitler.

These people have no credibility on this issue as TRUMP has diversified the party more than any other republican.

It seems the never-TRUMP agenda is too keep the party White.
The GOP under Trump has become the party of bigots, crackpots and grifters.

When you speak of your better as an orange Fuhrer, you don’t really expect any answers.

Minnie, you really are. A minor little nothing of a person.

I asked the question and you run away. Typical of your cowardice.
You should stop criticizing others, when you’re the dumbest poster in this forum. Know your place my son.

I know my place kid. It’s towering far above insignificant delusional vermin like you.

I had a wart removed that was smarter than you ever were or can ever hope to be.

Gimp; just admit it. You were born a loser. You’ve lived your entire worthless life as a loser. And you’ll die a loser.

Meanwhile, even the flies around the pile of dog shit you feast on don’t want to be associated with you.

Go cry to mommy.

The white supremacy vibe and tone of the speakers maybe. :dunno:

Does anyone doubt some delusional idiot will believe Trump really is another Hitler, and try another assassination attempt?

And yet you persist in offering nothing while proclaiming it’s something.

It’s still nothing.
Setting yourself up as the arbiter of what constitutes a parallel to Nazi rhetoric has it's advantages. You can simply dismiss anything out of hand. Calling something nothing. Like you'll do with this.

Bund leader Fritz Kuhn — who called Washington the “first fascist,” meaning it as praise — delivered (with a brief interruption) the final speech of the evening at the 1939 rally. He concluded by offering eight policy proposals. The first three were explicitly antisemitic. Three of the final four were:

  • “Immediate cessation of the dumping of all political ‘refugees’ on the shores of the United States.”
  • “Cessation of all abuse of the freedom of the pulpit, press, radio and stage.”
  • “A return of our government to the policies of George Washington: Aloofness from foreign entanglements. Severance of all connections with the League of Nations.”
Eighty-five years later, Trump spoke at the Garden and offered very similar rhetoric and proposals.

Like you, Melania indignantly denied her hubby is a Nazi like Hilter. How proud you both must be.
