I watched one of two black young men and one said....."Man, I wish we cold see concerts like that today."
you from the area marty? I live on the islandthe 1981 concert in the park with Simon and Garfunkel, and Billy Joel closing out Shea Stadium.
When i was a teenager some local bands i knew would have blown some of the present ones away, they actually played instruments.i have seen many MANY times when a reactor has said how the 'music today' no way compares to what real music was. especially when they watch classic rock - other bands like pink floyd or the who just blow them away.
