Putin and Russia is right.

Obama issued the embarrassing 'Red Line' to Assad, who promptly violated it. Obama backed down in cowardice before the whole world. The time to deal with Syria was forcefully then, keeping America's / his word. When he chickened out he emboldened our enemies and made us a laughing stock.

Obama never forgot that. He then began arming Syrian rebels to go against Assad, completely blinded by his desire to make amends for the Red Line debacle. The weapons he was sending the Syrians from Benghazi wound up in the hands of ISIS, who the rebels turned into. Obama had the chance to devastate ISIS by destroying their long convoys that were flooding into Iraq. Instead Obama called them a 'JV Team' and allowed them to take over much of the nation our military had liberated at great expense.

Obama kept arming and training Syrian Rebels to go against Assad. Out of 6 - 7 we trained and armed, 5 of them converted to ISIS, taking all the provided weapons with them. And now Putin / Russia, with boots and planes on the ground in Syria, are bombing the hell out of the rest of Obama's Syrian Rebels he is training and arming to fight ASSAD, NOT ISIS! Obama is still trying to make amends for his F*-UP with the Syrian Red Line. He isn't thinking ISIS that much, and Putin is exposing al of it.

And they welcomed us believing we were there to help them get out from under the boot of a dictatorship.

Our politicians either were too stupid to see or could not understand the tribal nature of their society.

They never wanted democracy! They were and still are loyal only to their tribal elders and religious leaders. Elections to those position simply cannot exist.

Until our leaders come to understand the true mindset of the Middle East, nothing will ever be accomplished.

Look at Jordan. They are totally content with a monarchy and the tribal chieftains who have a great deal of power.

Going into Iraq to be heralded as Liberators was hardly the reason we went to war in Iraq and was not THE primary contributing factor leading to the loss of 5,000 lives.

Many of those lives were lost due to the nasty IEDs, weapons, etc created and used by Obama's buddies the Iranians who he crafted a 'steal of a deal' for recently. There is a huge reason why the Obama administration refuses to release the number of American deaths the Iranians are responsible for. If Americans knew the number, and considering they still hold 4 Americans hostage, he would have MORE than 78% of Americans opposing his Iran deal.
