"Prosecutors push toward charging other Trump foes after Letitia James

President Donald Trump’s unprecedented efforts to pressure the Justice Department into prosecuting his perceived enemies have, so far, netted swift results — and more may be on the way.

In a matter of only two weeks, his handpicked U.S. attorney in Alexandria, Lindsey Halligan, obtained indictments against two frequent targets: former FBI Director James B. Comey and, on Thursday, New York Attorney General Letitia James.

Federal prosecutors across the country are pursuing several other investigations, many of which Trump has personally called for. Those include investigations into a sitting U.S. senator, former top leaders of the FBI and CIA and the Georgia prosecutor who charged Trump in a massive 2020 election conspiracy case.

The next set of charges could be coming quickly. Under pressure from senior Justice Department officials, federal prosecutors in Maryland are preparing to ask a grand jury to indict John Bolton, Trump’s first-term national security adviser, in a classified documents case. Charges could come as soon as the coming week, according to people familiar with the matter who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss the investigation."

Bolton seems to be next. An indictment of John Brennan would shake the deep state to its very core.

The Bolton investigation began under Biden but his DOJ put the brakes on it...

I wonder why we aren't hearing about Adam Schiff's real estate problems. He has an apartment in the LA area and represents that district, but he claims his primary residence is in Maryland where he owns a home. IDK how he can be a PRIMARY resident of MD and still claim to be eligible to represent a CA senatorial district.

Those "Trump foes" are actual literal felons who've violated established black letter law, as opposed to a prosecutor pulling some novel legal theory out of their ass.

Still no big charges for all the seditious acts.//

"Former U.S. Attorney John P. Fishwick Jr. told The National News Desk he thinks that both cases will be brought to the Supreme Court.

So this case is headed to the Supreme Court for both James and Comey," Fishwick said.
"The DOJ will appeal to what's called the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals in Richmond, and they'll do that probably right away. And remember, whoever loses at the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals is likely to appeal to the Supreme Court. This is a case that they'll want to hear," Fishwick added.

Comey was indicted on charges of allegedly lying in testimony to Congress five years ago. Because what he is being indicted on occurred five years ago, there is a chance a statute of limitations could impact a potential re-indictment. However, a Supreme Court decision would protect the Justice Department from that, Fishwick said.

There's a catch-all statute that will give DOJ 60 more days after the Supreme Court decision to re-indict Comey, and therefore, it wouldn't be in violation of the statute of limitations. This saving statute will protect them in this situation. So the case would not be time-barred against Comey at all," Fishwick said.

In the James case, which alleges mortgage fraud, Fishwick expects the DOJ to re-indict James within 60 days of a Supreme Court decision."
